Kentucky Senate Race Remains Tight, But McConnell Takes Small Lead

By WKU PUBLIC RADIO NEWS

With just over three months to go until Election Day, Republican Senator Mitch McConnell has a slim, two percentage-point lead over Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes.

The figure comes from a new Bluegrass Poll released Monday evening, showing the five-term Senator leading 47 percent to 45 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.7 percentage points and was conducted between July 18th and 23rd. In previous polls, Grimes had a four-point lead over McConnell in February. That lead shrank to one point in May.

The Bluegrass Poll is conducted for the Courier-Journal and Herald-Leader as well as television stations WHAS and WKYT.

I am furious at McConnell. But I don’t live in Kentucky, so all I get to do is say again . . . I am furious at McConnell.

That man paid thousands of dollars to call me and other McDaniel supporters “racist” to get out the (illegal, it appears) Democrat vote for his senile friend.

I must remember to give $100 to Grimes to help beat that fat b@st€rd.

I hope he gets voted out.

What difference would it make to have a majority GOP Senate with this person in charge, anyway. He’s more pro amnesty than any democrat, I imagine. he’s a major Obama enabler.

What about a Majority GOP Senate with him out. In retirement.

Home alone wearing a housecoat, watching reruns of Matlock. No way to bring new senators in for intimidation meets.

Just Graham and McCain to snivel and cower to the constitutionalists, No BFFs in leadership.

It was $65,000, which included money direct to Cochran (and not just the SuperPAC):

I think McConnell is likely to pull it out.

But, we still have one Republican Senate seat in real danger.

Georgia.

Two new polls came out today.

In one, the Republican is +6.

In the other, the Democrat is +4.

McConnell, as Senate Minority Leader, happily hosted the Cochran (MS) senate fundraiser that reportedly collected $100,000 in the dark of night, unpublicised and heads down, for Thadlit, and now do GUESS who is up to head the Senate Appropriations Committee, but Thad Cochran?
What a scam puppet operation for Appropriations.

Remembering Mississippi is not going away any time soon. McConnel deserves to be jettisoned as Sessions threatened, when he said they would get the Cantor treatment if they don’t defend against Obama on open borders.

Hope it starts anew with McConnell.

This is what I said to Mitch "Reid's *itch" McConnell
in reply to an fund-raising e-mail:

"You solded-out to Dems. in MS.
You abandoned St. Rep. McDaniels in MS.
You Declared "War" on Conservatives in KY.
You smeared Matt Bevins w/ disinformation.
You decided to cooperate w/ 0'Mullah / 0'Reid.
You sold your soul to 0'Mullah (Blank Check :)
You permitted (did nothing) when 0'Mullah to violated
the US Constitution / Bill of Rights.
..should I recount other issues."

I think Uniparty Republican Mitch will win whether we like it or not. This will be the same scenario all over the country because as happened in 2010 new people who are right leaner's but have never voted before will come out. They don't understand the Uniparty aspect of our struggle so think they will be doing the proper thing by voting for Republicans. This will bring the Republicans a big Election night but further threaten American freedoms.

That's the most deranged thing I've read in a long time... “Our struggle”? Struggle with what? Intelligence? It is impossible to quantify how many elections people like you have handed to people like Obama.

Recent polls suggest that people who did not vote for Romney “...to send a message...” to the GOP are NOW very sorry about that mistake.

I wonder if the current crop of “message-senders” will be sorry afer Obama appoints Eric Holder and Eleanor Holmes Norton to America’s Supreme Court.

No, the struggle of trying to vote in a principled, conscientious way but being left with the choice of voting for someone like Obama, whose positions at the time were only slightly more to the left than Romney's.

But you'd understand that without being told if you actually had firm conservative principles.

There's a distinct difference between being conservative, which I am, and being a fanatic.

There never has been nor will there ever be a 100% conservative government.
You don't throw out the good because you're waiting the perfect.
You accept that you will sometimes disagree with people who you agree with the rest of the time.
When you have the choice of compromising for something or getting nothing, you compromise and come back for the rest later.

Only in the mind of the fanatical right wing would you think Mitch McConnell losing his seat is good. Jesus accepted the imperfect; Why don't you try lowering your standards a bit to that level as well?

Voting for McConnell is a lowering of standards, to the gutter.

I lowered my standards for GHWBush92, Dole, GWB04, Really into the sewer with McCain and then again for Romney. Now my representatives in Congress are by their actions and votes showing themselves to be utterly corrupt and devoid of ethics and I am supposed to hold my nose and yet again vote for the Party. I think not. The House has shown they are useless as a screen door on a submarine when dealing with the democrats. The leadership of the GOPE senate butt buddies with the House GOPE leadership will be the same.

No cajoling, guilt tripping, begging, name calling, or scare tactics-(Harry Reid bad-boo! ya think!) are going to work this time. And from what I am seeing of the GOPE and Mitch’s blind defenders on here they can offer no valid reason to vote for him other than the GOPE gets to feed at the taxpayer $$$ trough.

I honestly believe some of these Party boys on here would let some of the trash in the GOPE physically rape their wives and daughters, hold their coats while doing so and then tell their wives and daughters you asked for it and besides it was for the all important Party.
