Monday begins early voting in Wisconsin

MADISON – Monday begins the first day for early voting in the State of Wisconsin leading up to the August 12th Statewide Primary election.

This will be the first election that will feature early voting with more uniform hours due to changes enacted into law earlier this year. Early voting will be done on Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM with no weekend hours. There were divisions between both sides for and against the bill earlier this year. Proponents of the bill say it would create a more standardized process for early voting while opponents say it would be harder for potential voters in large cities such as Madison and Milwaukee to cast a ballot.

Early voting will be conducted from July 28th to August 8th. For information on where to early vote, we encourage you to contact your local county or municipal clerk’s office.

Very nice!

THats plenty of time for the unions and democrats to vote 6-8 times and give those out of state busses a comfortable schedule.

I think that is less time than in previous years. Also, hours of early voting have been limited with no weekend, or after hours voting allowed.

I would amend the Constitution to put a stop to early voting.

I would also repeal the poll tax amendment and replace it with a mandatory $100 poll tax, a certificate of financial independence (welfare disqualifies), and a certificate of no employment by the level of government at issue for the previous five years, including spouses, parents, or children.

To start with.
