White House, MSNBC Can't Stop Talking About Impeachment
Townhall.com ^ | July 29, 2014 | Guy Benson

Posted on 07/29/2014 8:40:14 AM PDT by Kaslin

Republicans are not planning to impeach President Obama. Yes, Sarah Palin has called for it. The South Dakota GOP passed an impeachment resolution. Andy McCarthy is out with a book arguing that the legal foundation for ousting Obama exists, but the political will does not. And the occasional House back-bencher floats the 'I-word' from time to time. But there is no groundswell of support, or any semblance of a serious campaign, to remove the President of the United States from office. That's not a thing. When asked about Palin's impeachment advocacy House Speaker John Boehner -- who's suing Obama for executive overreach -- flatly responded, "I disagree." The Republican chairman of the relevant House committee has shut the idea down, too. Indeed, the parties most excited about invoking the specter of impeachment are the White House...

A top aide to President Obama said it's possible that Obama could be impeached by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. House Speaker John Boehner's decision to proceed with a lawsuit against the president has "opened the door" to the third presidential impeachment in the nation's history, Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters at a Friday breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor...Later, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said "prominent voices in the Republican party" have called for impeachment, but was hard-pressed to name one other than Palin. "I think there are some Republicans, including some Republicans that are running for office, hoping that they can get into office so they can impeach the president," he said.

...and MSNBC:

I attend a lot of conservative events. Idea of impeaching Obama has come up more on MSNBC today than all those events combined. — Philip Klein (@philipaklein) July 28, 2014

Leading cable news at 6PM/ET: CNN: Gaza conflict; Fox: Legislative deal to fix V.A.; MSNBC: GOP calls for Obama impeachment — Mark Knoller (@markknoller) July 28, 2014

The uptick in impeachment hand-wringing from the Left isn't an accident. It's a coordinated fundraising and base-goosing effort that's latched onto this CNN poll as a news hook:

Roughly a third of adult Americans want to see President Barack Obama impeached, according to a new CNN poll released Friday. Support for impeachment cuts down party lines, with 57% of Republicans favoring the idea but just 35% of independents and 13% of Democrats feeling similarly.

A majority of Republicans! This is serious, they clamor. Not really. In 2006, roughly the same percentage of CNN poll respondents favored impeaching George W. Bush, presumably with heavy support from Democrats (that survey didn't include internals). A substantial majority of liberal Vermont residents told a CBS News pollster they wanted Bush impeached in 2007. In short, it's not unusual for partisans to want the other guy thrown out. Hell, more than half of self-identifying Democrats believed that it was at least "somewhat likely" that Bush knew about 9/11 in advance, according to a 2006 poll. Congressional Democrats never came close to advancing articles of impeachment against the 43rd president even though some really wanted to -- including the powerful House Judiciary Committee Chairman. Rep. John Conyers and dozens of fellow liberals convened fantasy impeachment hearings in the Capitol basement in 2005, before they took over the lower chamber. Obama impeachment chatter hasn't even sniffed that level of, er, "seriousness." Here's what's going on: Democrats are desperate to light a fire under their base before November, as enthusiasm indicators have looked fairly grim so far. One way to galvanize support and raise easy money is to try to convince low information lefties that the nasty, racist GOP is actively scheming to bring down The Precious. The White House, evidently, is not above playing along with the charade. This is about fear-mongering and raising cash, plain and simple. Did I mention that Democrats are desperate? Here's a screen grab from an endless parade of borderline stalker-esque, impeachment-themed contribution solicitations:

Would only make sense if Biden was removed at the same time.

Not that I’d have a lot of confidence in a President Boehner — but it at least would give our nation a chance to survive

Because the WH and the DemonRats want the impeachment proceeding to start and continue. It takes all the attention away from the mid terms and possibly would result in the Dems being able to keep the Senate and possibly win the House.

It's like close-up magic. Don't watch the hand that the illusionist wants you to look at. 'Your' card is not there.

Obama deserves to be impeached and should be impeached if sanity and common sense reigned in politics & the rule of law meant something .... but it doesn’t. The WH & Obama’s political consultants can only wish the GOP would be so stupid as to try impeaching the ‘first black president’ ... it would fit right in with Obama’s (and Holder’s) constant refrain that the reason he can’t get anything done and the reason Republicans fight him (sometimes) on his damaging policies is because they don’t like him and it’s his race. Impeachment would be synonymous with ‘racism’. This would gin up the ‘vote-skin-color-no matter-what’ base and as the article says “it’s [threat of impeachment] a coordinated fundraising and base-goosing effort”.

The “why” of it is simple:

To make him a sympathetic victim so his base will get riled up to protect him - by sending money to get more democrats elected in November midterms, obviously.

We’re “racist” if we impeach him... we’re “racist” if we oppose him... we’re “racist” if we don’t do, pass, agree with, support, everything he says/wants/throws tantrums over.

They’ve got that victim/race card down to an artform.

The time has come for a very plain discussion with the American people.

Explain to them what “progressives” like Elizabeth Warren have for an agenda.

Explain the conservative agenda in plain terms.

Tell the voters it is not about the campaign slogans or candiates — it is about the agendas.

And let the voters decide which way the nation will go.

If the voters choose nanny state slavery — there is nothing that can be done. Or could have been done.

Senior Obama Adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters at a CSM breakfast that it's possible that Obama could be impeached by the Republican-controlled House....b/c Boehner's lawsuit "opened the door" to impeachment. Obama Press Secretary Josh Earnest was coached to say "prominent voices in the Republican party" have called for impeachment, but he was hard-pressed to name one other than Sarah Palin.

ROTFLOL---Desperate Dummycrats are resurrecting the impeachment bugaboo to raise shady money.....actually raising monies for impeachment from diehard Obama suckups.

This gambit----and Obama's obsessive non-stop fund raising----is beginning to look sinister. The world smolders but the Dumbcrat ding-a-lings are wishing on a star for impeachment.

REALITY CHECK Could this be a WH/Democrat Ponzi scheme in progress?

While they bash Wall Street publicly, leaders of the Democrats' mega-funder "The Democracy Alliance" have quietly recruited venture capitalists, bankers and hedge fund moguls -- along with union bosses and red-diaper trust fund babies -- to fund their takeover goals. ....$230,000 public school union dues go to the Democrats' "Democracy Alliance."

"The Democracy Alliance" does not itself raise and spend a great deal of money. Rather, being a partner in the Alliance requires one to contribute large amounts to other left-wing groups. The Alliance evaluates left-wing organizations on various criteria, and makes recommendations to its members as to where they should put their money. Currently, the Alliance lists 21 groups in its “Aligned Network”:

<><> America Votes, American Constitution Society, Black Civic Engagement Fund, Brennan Center, Catalyst, Center for American Progress, Center for Community Change, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Common Purpose Project, Fund for the Republic, Latino Engagement Fund, Media Matters for America, New Media Ventures, New Organizing Institute, Organizing For Action, Progressive Majority, Progress Now, State Engagement Initiative, State Voices, Women’s Equality Center and Youth Engagement Fund.<><>

The most interesting of the D/A documents that have come to light is the one that contains D/A’s “investment recommendations” for 2014. Not only does it list the recommended organizations, but it rates each organization in several categories, sets out the group’s budget for 2014, and shows how much of that budget should be contributed by the 100 members of the "Democracy Alliance." One category in which DA rates the organizations is “Collaboration,” as DA believes that all left-wing groups should coordinate their activities for maximum political impact.

Opportunistic pols like Harry Reid have denounced Charles and David Koch, and others, who contribute to conservative causes as “shadowy,” “secretive” people who dare infest politics with “dark money.”

In that context, it is worth noting that most of the groups to which the Alliance and its elite liberal members contribute are 501(c)(4)s that do not disclose their donors.

===============================================

ANALYSIS Buncha sap-happy Dummy/dopes are feeding the Democrats' Democracy Alliance lotsa money---thinking its safe.....going to a "good thing."

That's exactly how Madoff operated. Money-laundering, tax evasion was part of the Madoff mix---helping investors, foundations, and tax-exempts break the law in a seemingly legal way.

=====================================================

Madoff helped himself to the untraceable money in the process.....and got himself in trouble. When he went to jail for 125 years, investigators found Ponzi King Madoff had stashed billions offshore---into a labyrinth of financial entities.

COLLUSION AND CONSPIRACIES GALORE Some $8.9 billion was funneled to Madoff through a dozen so-called feeder funds based in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America......a labyrinth of hedge funds, management companies and service providers that, to unsuspecting outsiders, seemed to compose a formidable system of checks and balances.

But the purpose of this complex financial architecture was just the opposite: the feeder funds provided different modes for directing money to Madoff in order to avoid scrutiny.

Dummycrats apparently took notes.

Accused Fraudster Stanford Partied With Pelosi, (Bill) Clinton in Denver
ABC News ^ | February 18, 2009 | Justin Rood and Brian Ross / FR Posted by Zakeet

Accused con man R. Allen Stanford used corporate money to become a big man at last year's Democratic convention in Denver. A video posted on the firm's web-site shows Stanford, now sought by U.S. Marshals, being hugged by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and praised by former President Bill Clinton for helping to finance a convention-related forum and party put on by the National Democratic Institute.

"I would like to thank the Stanford Financial Group for helping to underwrite this," Clinton said to the crowd at the event. Stanford Financial was listed as the "lead benefactor" for the gathering, and Stanford was permitted to address the audience of several hundred.

The SEC charged yesterday that Stanford was running a fraudulent offshore investment scheme that may have bilked customers out of as much as $8 billion. Over the last decade, Stanford has spent more than $7 million on lobbyists and campaign contributions to Washington politics in both parties, although the vast majority of the money has gone to Democrats.

"We had no reason to believe that a very public company that was also engaged in philanthropic work might be suspect," said a spokesperson for the National Democratic Institute, Amy Dudley. (Excerpt) Read more at abcnews.go.com ...

Offshore Fraudster had links to offshore fund run by VP Biden's relatives
Reuters on Yahoo | 2/23/09 | BY Ajay Kamalakaran

(Reuters) – A fund of offshore hedge funds run by two members of VP Joe Biden's family was marketed exclusively by offshore firms controlled by Texas financier Allen Stanford, charged by regulators with an $8 billion fraud, the Wall Street Journal said.

The Bidens $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens' Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and the offshore Stanford Financial Group entity headquartered in Antigua, and was known as the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund, the paper said. Stanford-related offshore companies marketed the Biden fund to investors and also invested about $2.7 million of their own money in the fund, the paper said, citing a lawyer for Paradigm.

Paradigm Global Advisors is owned through a holding company by the vice president Biden's son, Hunter, and Joe Biden's brother, James, according to the WSJ. Paradigm's attorney, Marc LoPresti, who represents Hunter Biden and James Biden, as well as Paradigm, told the paper he did not know which Stanford entity invested the roughly $2.7 million. RE :”White House, MSNBC Can't Stop Talking About Impeachment”

Of course, Dems are praying for impeachment now.

In 1998 Clinton was impeached by House
and while he finished his term in the WH, Newt the same House speaker resigned not long after impeachment after he lost House seats in the 1998 midterms.

Impeachment is a great 'get out the Dem votes' tool. What's not to like?

Since CNN pretty much ran out of gas doing the 24-7 imaginary coverage of Malaysian 370 they no doubt see the need for a new project. I can already see Blitz doing the play-by-play of the imaginary impeachment proceedings-—the man in the street interviews, the opinion polls, the progress thru congers hearings, the forensics——and maybe even discussion of a black box? Probly new evidence of a birth certificate?
