Many are forecasting that Texas will follow California in demographic trends, namely Hispanic population growth.
One thing that no one seems to be talking about though is the conservatism of Texas Hispanics.
I suspect Hispanic Texans are more conservative than Hispanic Californians.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Hispanic Texans voted for barack in lower numbers compared to Hispanic Californians.
Texas attracts conservative people, and this may include conservative Hispanics.

What scares me is that Californians leave for other states (like Colo) and turn them blue. AND the immigrants replacing those who leave are MORE liberal than the ones who left.

Several months ago, someone here at FR posted an article that should give you hope about this. It provided facts that go against this lament. Namely, Texas is attracting conservatives who are wise enough to abandon lib states, most especially CA.
