Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Friday he has announced his resignation amid the Verkhovna Radas refusal to vote in favor of increasing the funding of troops involved in the special operation in the countrys east.
My decision to resign has one motive: I want the whole country to see that the parliament refuses to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the parliament refuses to fight for the east and impose taxes on those who need to pay taxes, Yatsenyuk said in a Shuster LIVE Ukrainian talk show.
Yatsenyuk said the countrys parliament needs a reset and also called to carry out reforms even if this demands taking unpopular steps among the Ukrainian population.
He urged the parliament to allocate additional 9 billion hryvnia ($0.7 billion) to support the troops and also approve the bills on levying taxes on the most profitable sectors and attracting European and US companies to the management of the countrys gas transmission network.
Yatsenyuk announced his resignation on Thursday following the collapse of the ruling European Choice coalition in the Ukrainian parliament.
According to Ukrainian constitution, the resignation of prime minister must be approved by the parliament. Ukraines Svoboda and UDAR parties announced their factions were quitting the majority coalition, paving the way for the dissolution of parliament.

Oh man, the tin-foiled-hat Putin loving Russia Today watchers in this forum are not going to like this.
They’re trying to fill Parliament with their own kind. It would be like the Dems saying...lets get rid of this congress and start over....with all Dem candidates
