During a floor speech on Wednesday night, Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee voiced her opposition to the House Republican lawsuit against President Barack Obama and said that Democrats had never moved to impeach former President George W. Bush when he was in office.
A historical fact that President Bush pushed this nation into a war that had little to do with apprehending terrorists, Jackson Lee said. We did not seek an impeachment of President Bush, because as an executive, he had his authority. President Obama has the authority.
It's an odd thing for Jackson Lee to say, because it was just six years ago that she helped lead a movement to impeach Bush by co-sponsoring a bill accusing him of high crimes and misdemeanors
She misspoke, Jackson Lees spokesman Mike McQuerry told Yahoo News on Thursday morning. He declined to elaborate on what she meant to say.

That’s true and they’re taking it to levels we’ve never seen before in the U.S.
A S—thouse Mouse has more value than SJL!
[ ALL LIES are simply now labeled as Misspoke. ]
No, the new PC work is “Speako” or “Spoko” as in “Typo”
One of Obama’s minions said that...
Oh no no no no.....why deny the American people the pleasure of watching this buffoon make a buffoon out of herseff. The ultimate comic relief.
Muss I die? Can I get an erange jewz er a graype soder?
This woman is a complete jackass.
If only Texas could get rid of Austin and Houston. Sheila’s district is made up of Katrina trash and other EBT grifters.
But can she read cursive?
She’s just rewriting black history for the books and the ayers libs will be glad to accomodated and drum it into the young minds that are saddled with a public school non-education.
I snicker to remind people of that.
She misspoke,
Yeah sure.....she sure is a gift. If only this would be the first story on all the network news programs tonight....oh if only we lived in a fair World.
It doesn’t make sense to blame the entire state of Texas when one idiot district is responsible for putting her in office. Her district is a crime-ridden, gang-plagued cess pool. I know, I used to live near it.
My representative is Ted Poe and he is an awesome Conservative.
Which is misspeak for "She lied".
I’m sure Texas is nice. I’ve never been, but would love to see the Alamo and do the river walk thing (I’ve wanted to ever since it was featured in “Cloak & Dagger” when I was a kid) before I kick the bucket. My point is that Texas is made out to be some wonderful bastion of conservative freedom - the republic of TX and all that - so, the fact that SJL was elected in the first place is one thing. Mistakes happen. But, if TX was, in fact, that center of republican freedom and wonder that everyone from Texas talks about, she’d be little more than a footnote in Texas’ history by now. The fact that she’s still in office? Tells me TX is little more than just another follow along state. I guess the bigger tell that TX is not some wonderful conservative refuge is that it hasn’t declared it’s independence. The fact that the ability to walk away from the union is written into the state Constitution means nothing, if it isn’t going to be used. If Texas stands, I’ll stand with her. Until then, all the bluster about TX is just that - hot air.
I get what you’re saying. Texas is a red state though. We still outnumber the liberals. If Texas ever turns blue, I’m outta here :)
