In a little town in New Mexico......Artesia, New Mexico..........there’s a quanrantine in place.....*supposedly for chicken pox*.......but after inquiry it’s strongly suspected to be ...tuberculosis!!!!!!!
There are stains of tuberculosis that are resistant to antibiotics!

I live in the area and I’m not wild about it but I do think the CDC is going to use these two as guinea pigs for their research. Note this is the first time ever an Ebola patient has been taken out of a quarantined area and brought here. It’s worrisome.

BTW, read Hot Zone and see if you can count the number of times they broke protocol with a disease they suspected at the time was a level 4 pathogen in humans.
There are plenty of guinea pigs in Africa.
We fly thousands of troops and all their quarters around the world in a matter of hours. No reason they can’t set up an appropriately sterile field clinic in Sierra Leone or Liberia.

You’re right about Obama helping to bring various diseases in through the border. But why should we want another, and one which is much more deadly than chicken pox or TB?
You seeem to be saying, hey, if we have those afflictions, might as well have Ebola, too. There’s no logic there, no common sense.

I don’t care about his citizenship or his noble deeds and intentions. He is a carrier of a virus that does not exist in this country and introducing it in this manner is criminal even if nobody dies.
One of the first things I learned in the handling of pathogenic organisms is that you isolate the carrier/source and contain it in an area as far outside of the uninfected region as possible.
They could have been isolated in a very remote area, Diego Garcia, etc.
There are too many ways this could go bad.
If it takes the good doctor, so be it. He knew the risks going in and I’m betting that he is not necessarily for his own transport into North America.
They are transporting by ground through downtown Atlanta. What could go wrong?
One of the main acts in the fight against spread of a deadly disease is containment and isolation. Moving an affected person thousands of miles to a supposedly secure facility is not isolation or containment. Those who made the decision to move these two people to the U.S. have violated the basic rule in containment of a infectious disease.

Just because Franklin Graham “signed off” does not mitigate the fact that bringing Ebola to the States is not a good idea. And, you might have forgotten that the CDC recently lost some anthrax samples, so that “sign off” is of little value, as well!
