before you call BS you might want to actually read the papers written on it.

It was proved to be airborne in 1995.

1995 Dec 23-30;346(8991-8992):1669-71.
Transmission of Ebola virus (Zaire strain) to uninfected control monkeys in a biocontainment laboratory.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8551825

as Rush would say for the folks from Rio Lindo

the monkeys in a completely different room caught the virus from the labs air conditioning system.

The nurse who is now coming back with EBOLA never saw and infected patient she just spray cleaned their contaminated suits

It’s AIRBORNE but you don’t have to believe it just go breathe some air in the good Ebola docs room.

Yet of the many outbreaks over almost 40 years, Africa always gets it under control, and with little loss of life, how do they do that if it is an end of the world disease?

(excerpt)

In an article entitled “Growing Concerns Over ‘In the Air’ Transmission of Ebola,” the British Broadcasting Corporation reported the following in November of 2012 about airborne transmissibility of Ebola:

Canadian scientists have shown that the deadliest form of the ebola virus could be transmitted by air between species.

In experiments, they demonstrated that the virus was transmitted from pigs to monkeys without any direct contact between them.

The researchers say they believe that limited airborne transmission might be contributing to the spread of the disease in some parts of Africa.

...

One possibility is that the monkeys became infected by inhaling large aerosol droplets produced from the respiratory tracts of the pigs.

One of the scientists involved is Dr Gary Kobinger from the National Microbiology Laboratory at the Public Health Agency of Canada. He told BBC News this was the most likely route of the infection.

“What we suspect is happening is large droplets - they can stay in the air, but not long, they don’t go far,” he explained.

“But they can be absorbed in the airway and this is how the infection starts, and this is what we think, because we saw a lot of evidence in the lungs of the non-human primates that the virus got in that way.”

Everyone in the field is very familiar with that research and no, it didn't conclusively demonstrate airborne transmission no matter how many blogs say it did. BTW, your nih reference does not claim proof of airborne transmission. Quite the opposite:

The most likely route of infection of the control monkeys was aerosol, oral or conjunctival exposure to virus-laden droplets secreted or excreted from the experimentally inoculated monkeys.

This is not airborne transmission. The virus' ability to infect was dependent on being surrounded by oral and respiratory fluid. This is "direct contact with secretions", not airborne transmission.

It is widely accepted that sloppy procedures within the compound could have spread these secretions in the study you cite.

I’ve read an enormous amount of literature on the Ebola virus over the last 2 decades and much over the last few months and I don’t care what “Rush” has to say, and I really don’t care what YOU have to say.

Show me proof that it is anywhere as virulent while airborne and currently infecting people ANYWHERE as an airborne variant and is killing people and maybe I’ll be interesting in your absurd tripe, but until I see verified proof that your assertions deserve anything more than derision, I will simply laugh at you and your ignorant tripe!

Just because monkeys got it that way doesn’t mean humans will.

I refer to her as an assistant, because she was helping with decon and is not a healthcare provider as far as I know.

Apparently, one of the other people working in the decontamination area became ill and continued to show up for work while sick. Subsequently, that person died of Ebola. So Ms. Writebol was infected directly as a result of breech of infection control protocol.
