I didn’t know she was alive.

“You are welcoming to everyone when you’re a liberal.”

I could not stand her. Just something about her that irritated me. Maybe it was her liberal politics but I think it was something else.

If you look at the pictures for her when you do a DuckDuckGo search (dump Google!), the facial expressions in each and every one is that of a b!tch who's ready and eager to stab you in the back at the first possible opportunity.

She may have had good facial structure, smooth skin, good long hair - but that look, that evil, evil look - once seen, one just can't clear it out of one's mind.

No, I just checked....Variety, TMZ, etc, are reporting it.

Yes, the ‘40s were her heyday. I was born in ‘63, so she was before my time, but I do have a certain liking for some old movies. She had a presence, that’s certain.

James Garner passed away 7/19/14.
Was there a 3 pattern?
I honestly can’t recall.

>> A much bigger star than Robin Williams. I say that, and I was born in 1960, so in many ways she’s “before my time” while Mork & Mindy hit when I was a teenager. Still, I think she was more significant <<

I disagree.

Williams was a star because he appeared in at least a dozen iconic movies spanning 30 years (although I would say his last "great" movie was One Hour Photo in 2002), and although he rose to fame because of his madcap comedic performances, he had an equally impressive number of dramatic hits (Awakenings, Dead Poets Soeciety, Good Will Hunting, etc.) that were nominated for Oscars.

Bacall was a star because she appeared opposite Humphrey Bogart in several of his classic films, and went on to marry him. She was very young at the time and he was twice her age. After Bogart died, her career waned in the 60s and she continued to appear in bit parts for the next 40 years, but was never a leading actress again.

I took a dislike to her many years ago and I think it was before I learned how liberal she was. I think the fact that the media always swooned over her was part of it.

And she was not just a liberal, she was a Barack Obama, Morris Dees, type liberal.

Maybe it's because she was doing Sinatra while her husband was dying of cancer. Then again, he had affairs on her while they were married so what the hell.

My mom reminded me so is Doris Day. Though she has to be about 90 I think.

Yep, hate her politics, loved her in the movies she did.

If you avoided all the flaming libtards in Hollywood, you’d never be able to see a movie.

Maybe that wouldn’t be a bad thing, but missing “The Big Sleep” would be a shame.
