“”Alexander Zakharchenko, prime minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, said the rebels were in the process of receiving some 150 armoured vehicles, including 30 tanks, and 1,200 fighters who he said had spent four months training in Russia.””

See, this is what I said. Of course those “fighters” are Russian troops.

The people want Russia. Eastern and Southern Ukraine do at least.

It's physically impossible to cut off UK units WEST of Donetsk by taking the town of Amvrosiyevka which is to the SOUTHEAST of Donetsk.

I think tcrlaf is talking about UK re-enforcements from the west of Donetsk being cut off from the eastern front, and Mauripol does indeed have a road linking it to Amvrosiyevka which would be opened again to rebel traffic if the rebels take it.

With the Ukrainian side busy destroying phantom columns of Russians, no wonder the rebels are slowly turning the tide. This video from the front might be instructive to you in that regard.

The Russians are trashing us

You think Putin instigated all of this? Not Kiev? European Union? Give me a break.

Apparently the EU does not even want Ukraine. It was all from the bottom up that it came. As for a "lot" of people in East and South Ukraine wanting to be slaves of Putin, the number is around 18 percent the last time it was polled in April by Pew, and even lower than that from the official elections, which included the majority of Ukraine, even in the East and South save for those areas Russia intervened.

Maybe only solution is to divide it in half.

And why would you want to do that, Russkie? Yanukovych ran on a Pro-EU platform, not a Pro-Slavery one. Poroshenko ran on an Independence from Russia platform and got these results, which you've seen millions of times but are too dishonest to ever deal with them.

Red went to Poroshenko:

Picked a lorry. They opened it up. What was inside? Drinking water. Also saw condensed milk & buckwheat.

Yup, and SO much of it too.

"Almost all of the vehicles are nearly empty, according to journalists who were allowed to inspect them. BBC's Steve Rosenberg finds a vehicle reportedly carrying buckwheat -- nearly empty. This is a screenshot from his video report."

What was different, this time, was the NGO’s and the US State Department backing the most violent opposition elements in Ukraine, the National Socialists...

Prove it, Russkie!

Kiev has said many whoppers, as well. The one I really like is “We don’t shell civilians”

"Translation (of angry residents):

This shooting is from the city, but this is not Ukrainian army. Exactly.

The is shooting from new DNR.

They want to break all private houses here. They make this especially for picture and for tv for Russia. They make especially this, because they want that it look like Ukrainian army make this. But it was never that Ukrainian army was shooting.

Show this on tv what I say: this is only for picture on tv. They said all this was destroyed by Ukrainian army, but Ukrainian army has not destroyed anything here."

I don’t have a good feeling about this. Somebody is cause trouble and it could “escalate quickly”.

You are a lying Russkie. By definition, all your feelings are negative and evil.

With the Ukrainian side busy destroying phantom columns of Russians, no wonder the rebels are slowly turning the tide.

You can tell who is a Russian sleeper agent when you find them trying to demoralize Americans, who are not even fighting in the war, and to believe the Russians are winning. Regular Americans would not be cheering for the Russkies or spreading war-disinformation which doesn't affect any of us directly in any way.

As for the war going on, Ukraine has retaken 60 percent of formerly separatist held territory and are currently inside Luhansk. You Russkies have been telling us for weeks and weeks now that the Ukrainians have been losing and supposedly hiding staggering numbers of war dead, but this is the end result of it.

Put down the vodka bottle.

I don't drink vodka like you, Russkie. That's how you escape answering simple questions like "And why would we want to do that? Yanukovych ran on a Pro-EU platform."

~Any prisoners to show?~

Yup. ‘Russians invading’ for months, ‘getting destroyed’ on regular basis, but not a single wreck of Russian armor, no POWs etc.

Much of western Ukraine advocates closer ties with the European Union while eastern and southern regions look to Russia for support. The stark east-west divide was evident in Viktor Yanukovych's 2010 presidential election runoff victory over Yulia Tymoshenko.

How is this division any different, fundamentally, than the red state/blue state division in the US?

~Are you speaking of Crimea, or this area of E. Ukraine?~

Forget about Crimea. How could they ‘invade’ Crimea given it is a base for a Russian Navy and it was allowed to move and station up to 25,000 troops there.

We are talking about mainland Ukraine.
