“could she be disbarred for her crime?”
Well yes but according to my best friend who is an attorney a large percentage of attorneys drink like fish and they even show up drunk in court. It gets overlooked as its so widespread. I know a million attorneys and almost all of them talk about doing something else or are looking for a way out.
I don't know if this is accurate, but my understanding is that Lehmberg has not been disbarred, even though she was convicted and served time in the clink.
If DUI is a theoretically possible ground for disbarment, even one rarely applied, it has to be at least as reasonable to apply it as to indit for Perry for constitutional action. Whether or not attempting disbarment is a politically reasonable counter strategem by Perry depends how that process works there. Would it have a chance? Does Travis County or Texas control disbarment? Is it even possible to stay in office as Travis County DA once disbarred? If the threat would be empty then don’t make it.
Shuh! You know a million attorneys...
I mustuh told you a couple million times not the exaggerate.
You sure you're not exaggerating?
