Jews fear the Christian right far more than they fear the Marxists in this country. Not happening.
Liberal Jews will vote Democratic unless Hitler is at the Democrat candidate. I would be shocked if even ten percent of them changed parties, and frankly some of it is urban prejudice against rural people and Republicans, residual leftwing socialist utopianism, and an ignorance is bliss outlook about accountability when it comes to Democrats in charge..
They are asking why he is giving the illegals so much attention and not paying their mortgages and rent payments? Why is he paying so much attention to outsiders and neglecting the inner cities?
It's not only Jewish people he's driving away.
And they wont even change to teach the Dems in power a hard lesson by showing them a united front to teach the Pols how powerful they can be.
Kind of like Congress who had a choice of supporting party over everything or saving their own sorry rear ends and they chose party. They gave up their power for leftism.
Lets be content for the time being with Jews not voting Democrat and donating much much less. For them sitting out elections due to Democrats being useless on Israel. Such as Debbie Washerwoman Schultz.

The Jewish vote may evolve the way of the Roman Catholic and white southern votes have. That is first switch to the GOP in national presidential elections. Then in congressional races. Then finally after a generation or more voting GOP in local elections.
To me a more interesting analysis is whether Obama is driving African-American voters back to the GOP with his border policies. Since the African-American vote is about 6 times that of the Jewish vote, that would make for a bigger deal in terms of outcome. Between social issues and economic issues tied to immigration, the GOP should be working on a campaign to welcome African-American voters back to the party of Lincoln.

Same tribe very different clan. In Israel the Jews are armed and street smart. The group here feels they own the dem party. There may be bad apples but they bought and paid for it. Both groups have strong socialist leanings.
No, they won’t. I’d put more hope on black Americans changing over Obama’s amnesty plans than American Jews changing to the Republican Party because of Israel. And, really, I don’t see either one voting their self interest at all. You need look no further than how the Democrat party has mismanaged and run down most American cities and how the blacks and Jews in those cities still embrace that party to realize that they’re not letting outcomes change their minds. It’s like an anti-science approach, like the adage by Einstein - doing the same thing over and over and getting the same results - hasn’t occurred to them.
Not so on the left, for deep and tangled reasons that have been explored by critics for decades, and that must still be relentlessly exposed today. But living in lies imposes costs, so we have the repeated sagas of waves of defectors from the leftist parade. Perhaps the most common denominator of those moving from left to right over the past hundred years is that those who abandoned the leftist commitments of their youth did so because they could no longer countenance the lies, or turn a blind eye to the victims. Sooner or later, reality is apt to bite, sometimes in searing ways. As Whittaker Chambers (himself a blood purge defector) famously put it about the unnamed daughter of an American diplomat in pre-WWII, Stalinist Moscow, "One night she heard the screams," as neighbors in her building were being arrested in the wee hours. At some point, if there is a saving glimmer of intellectual and moral honesty, the cognitive dissonance breaks through, and a leftist has to confront his operational alliance with objective evil.
This process will inevitably continue, because the lies continue, and honest people will continue to rebel against the lies. Support for Israel against Islamic terror is every bit as much a wedge issue as were, in their day, Stalin's purges, the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, the enslavement of Eastern Europe, the abandonment of our allies in Vietnam, the Cambodian genocide, and on and on.
People who get sledgehammered away from their previous leftist certainties do not automatically become Republicans or conservatives. They have simply had their eyes opened. They have lost their utopian fantasy and have begun to recognize the real world of often difficult choices. They are intellectually "in play." Having been in thrall to a leftist vision that is both dogmatic and comprehensive in ambition, they are often open to the suggestion that "if I was wrong about A, B, and C, what D, E, and F." The dots do connect.
Such people, again, are not automatically conservatives in the making, but they will tend to be allies of convenience on the immediate issue that prompted their rethinking, and may very well be persuadable on a wide range of issues. Some of them, a few years down the road, will be among our standard bearers. (Think, for example, David Horowitz.) These are people to be sought out, welcomed, and nurtured.
We heard the same noise during his first term and whaddayaknow... Obama’s share of the Jewish vote dropped from 78% in 2008 to 69% in 2012. So, Hillary’s share will be capped at 75%.

One of the books I've started a while ago is the bio of Oppenheimer. His family practiced what was referred to something like "American Humanistic Judaism", and that was back in the 19th century when is uncle(s) and then father, iirc, came to the US from Germany.
I can go try to unbury it from my in-progress stack, and find out the exact name, if you want.
I looked it up at the time, and its web site struck me as a celebration of atheism, from what I remember. To each his own.
