You probably have heard of the Kent State shootings: on May 4, 1970, the Ohio National Guard opened fire on student protesters at Kent State University. During those 13 seconds of gunfire, four students were killed and nine were wounded, one of whom was permanently paralyzed. The shock and outcry resulted in a nationwide strike of 4 million students that closed more than 450 campuses. Five days after the shooting, 100,000 protestors gathered in Washington, D.C. And the nation’s youth was energetically mobilized to end the Vietnam War, racism, sexism, and mindless faith in the political establishment.

What will make this all fizzle out is a store security video which will be shameful condemming evidence making it a likely open and shut case.

Not even hardly. At this point the riots and "message" have a life of their own. Brown's actions are a subtitle, at best.

If people honestly and truly want the looting and violence to stop, send out a couple of sharpshooters. One or two well-aimed hits on these thugs is all it would take to restore "peace." Of course nobody has the gonads for that.

To me, he writes like he’s an angry Muslim.

He was raised as a Roman Catholic and attended Power Memorial Academy, a Catholic high school in Manhattan. In the summer of 1968, while attending UCLA, he took the Shahada twice and converted to Sunni Islam.

Here, from Wikipedia...

Abdul-Jabbar had been interested in coaching since his retirement, and given the influence he had on the league, he thought that the opportunity would present itself. However, during his playing years, Abdul-Jabbar had developed a reputation of being introverted and sullen. He did not speak to the press, leading to the impression that he disliked them.

In his biography My Life, Magic Johnson recalls instances when Abdul-Jabbar brushed him off when Magic (as a ball boy) asked for his autograph, Abdul-Jabbar froze out reporters who gave him a too enthusiastic handshake or even hugged him, and refused to stop reading the newspaper while giving an interview.

Many basketball observers, in addition to Abdul-Jabbar, believe that Kareem’s reticence, whether through disdain for the press corps or simply because of introversion, contributed to the dearth of coaching opportunities offered to Abdul-Jabbar by the NBA. In his words, he said he had a mindset he could not overcome, and proceeded through his career oblivious to the effect his reticence may have had on his coaching prospects in the future.

Abdul-Jabbar said: “I didn’t understand that I also had affected people that way and that’s what it was all about. I always saw it like they were trying to pry. I was way too suspicious and I paid a price for it.”

KAJ — seems to me, in this article, you are that same “disdain” and not just for the press corps. Seems like he still has that mindset he can’t overcome.

One of the richest persons in the world — EVER...

What will it take to mobilize 4 million students in peaceful protest?

Restoration of the military draft.

Hey, Lew- black on black crime far outweighs your white on black argument...and if you are concerned about the diminishing middle class, you need to have that discussion with your lord and savior, Obama. In the meantime, stick to co-pilot duities and don’t have the fish, otherwise Otto will take your job.

It's racism and oppression because....When you try to find a job that only has brothers and sisters working there and you won't go on an interview because you don't own a nice shirt, tie and slacks because you spent all your money on the latest thug shirt and baggies plus $300 dollar tennis shoes. You can't speak English without using "yaknow", "motherf**ker", "yaknowwhatimsayin" and "nigga" every third word and speaking proper English is a "White Thang".
When you refuse to talk to or associate with other people because "theys ain't niggas". When the only history you know is from 1860-1865, 1955, 1963, 1968 and when your favorite rap artist was born. When your entire life revolves around smoking weed, drinking beer and having sex with different women. When you brag about how many women have had your babies but you haven't seen any of your babies for years. When your 25 and working 10 hours a day is too hard because it's oppression. When you kill other "niggas" because they are not the right kind of "nigga" and steal and rob because you feel oppressed and just maybe your ancestors (who you know nothing about) from 170 years ago "was slaves". You depend on the government and the taxes from other oppressed people because you feel you are oppressed.

I think the “war” will look a lot like the last few hundred pages of “Atlas Shrugged”.

Africa is a mess. While whites where putting a man on the moon, Africans were STILL whizzing in their water supply.

....and don't forget that the first African in space was WHITE, and from Pretoria.....much to the chagrin of American liberals.

The media should be considered enemycombatants.

There, fixed it for you. I've considered the media the enemy since 1991.

I've said it before on here, and I'll say it again: when the shooting starts, the liberal media simply must be the first casualty as that is the only way the truth will ever be told.

Do not be surprised if that video in question has gone viral. Still as you have said, there is life of its own. This is why it will help in any court case the video though.
