This is all terrible. Bad for guy who died. Bad for parents. Bad for the cop. Bad for the town. Bad for race relations. And bad as well as embarrassing for America. Normal, civilized nations do not have mobs looting neighborhoods or tanks patrolling the streets at night.

My overall impression is that the kid was no saint, a petty criminal with thug attitude who would likely end up in jail either way. He scuffled with the officer. The cop probably lost it in the intense situation and fired on a fleeing/surrendering suspect.

Nothing good will come of this for any of us.

You don’t know that. I wouldn’t got that far to judge him as that. It wasn’t you there. The corner said the shots were through the front of the body not in his back as fleeing.

This town is finished. It was already deteriorating rapidly. Now the businesses still operating will move out. Town government will be replaced with corrupt race hustlers. Most of the remaining whites will move out. It will be a microcosm of Detroit after 1967.

There is no evidence to back up that assertion. It is much more likely, applying common sense and the limited amount of evidence, that the Gentle Giant rushed at the cop, and the cop did the only thing he could to have a chance of seeing another day.

Your assertion that the cop "lost it", is very unlikely, and has no backing. Your assertion that he fired on a fleeing or surrendering suspect goes against the one piece of hard evidence we now have, in addition to going against common sense.

Sometimes, in fact usually, it is wrong to split the difference between two stories and assume the truth lies somewhere in the middle. In this case, the witnesses are probably lying, or embellishing, or simply fabricating the whole thing from rumors. And in all likelihood, the officer's version of events will essentially be a comprehensive and fully accurate transcript of what actually happened.

My guess is you are wrong. The police office did not shot on the fleeing/surrendering thug. He shot the punk because he was rushing him. Mobs loot in all countries, civilized or not. I’m only embarrased for America because of the loser we have in the White Hut.

By the way, he wasn’t a kid.
