couldnt be better. Im several miles from the quake site.
I must admit to having enjoyed being awoken in that manner..as it was a reminder of how astonishingly Powerful is God's "natural" world.

Indeed. One comment on one of the articles mentioned something about the writer’s having heard what sounded like a loud rushing wind while the quake was occurring.
I expect several more fairly large quakes this week

We live east of Sacramento and a bit closer to Napa. My wife woke me up that morning and was almost hysterical because she had heard an animal in the closet near our bed. I finally convinced her to just slide the closet door back so we could see what was there. When she did slide the door open and we saw her dresses swaying to and fro we immediately knew there was an earthquake from our past living in the east bay area.

I ever so thankful it didnt occur while I was sitting in front of this monitor...as one did several years ago while I watched it “dance” ever so gingerly dance across my desk...

Interesting....glad your home withstood the quake as you hoped.....what did the flashes look like?
It looked like lightning flashes high up into the sky, flickering and pulsating. I thought the earthquake was producing lightning. Other strange thoughts of nukes going off ( just for a split second).
