A California state assemblyman plans to stage a protest outside the governor’s mansion next week to demand that Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, who is to be honored at luncheon there Aug. 26, ensure the release of a U.S. Marine held captive in Mexico.
Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, who recently lost in a bid to become the Republican nominee in the gubernatorial election in November, declined an invitation to the luncheon and assailed Gov. Jerry Brown for hosting the luncheon in honor of the Mexican president.
"I am writing to decline your luncheon invitation,” read the letter Donnelly sent Brown, which the assemblyman made public, “and to express my deep disappointment that you would entertain the president of a nation that is holding an active-duty U.S. Marine captive."
Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi has said that he was headed to dinner in San Ysidro on March 31 when he mistakenly wound up at a border crossing in Tijuana.
"I was going to call them after I drove off the exit, but I never got off the exit, I blew right past it," he was quoted as telling the U-T San Diego newspaper in an interview from jail. “I wasn’t paying attention, thinking I had way farther to go. I ended up in Mexico with no way to turn around."

Thousands SHOULD be protesting, along with this patriot State Assemblyman.
...and just a few weeks ago, he had his golf weekend here in Rancho Mirage - which is less than 150 miles from Mexico. He could have scored a huge PR coup by talking him out and flying him wherever on Air Force One.

Obama is a radical Muslim and an enemy of the United states, there is no argument, no question about that. That is what Democrats put into office. Once people realize that, everything Obama does makes perfect sense. It’s no different than if they put Osama Bin-Laden himself into the White house. Just think what OBL would do, he would do exactly what the Kenyan does. Certain checks and balances would hold him from going full out destructo, but like Obama he would steadily and systematically destroy as much of the US as he could piece by piece while helping to empower and spread radical Islam and that’s exactly what Obama has done from his first day in office till now.

Gov. Jerry Brown has welcomed the Mexican president to California by reminding him of the cultural and historical ties shared by the two places.
Brown addressed President Enrique Pena Nieto before a friendly crowd Monday in Los Angeles during a speech that played up his immigrant-friendly credentials.
Brown says it wasn't long ago that another governor had outlawed driver's licenses for people in the country illegally from Mexico. He signed a bill into law that will allow immigrants to get a driver's license next year.
Pena Nieto didn't single out any state by name, but he called out unethical governors who had cracked down on immigration.
Brown says Mexico and California are united for a better future. He spoke of the deep past the two places shared and how California was invested in teaching English to Spanish-speaking students.
Pena Nieto is in the state for a two-day visit and will address the Legislature in Sacramento on Tuesday.
I hope there are some brave Constitutional Republic type lawmakers that will stand up and demand the Mexican president release their hostage! Who does he think he is, ISIS???
