President Barack Obama will(did)address The American Legion on Aug. 26 at the organization's 96th National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. His speech, along with the rest of the general session, will be streamed live start at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at www.legiontv.org. Obama is expected to address the convention at approximately 11:40 a.m.
"The American Legion is honored that the nation's commander-in-chief will address those of us who have served in uniform," National Commander Daniel M. Dellinger said. "With so many important issues ranging from the state of VA health care to the Global War on Terrorism, it is vitally important that The American Legion hear from our national leaders. In addition to the president, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Va.), VA Secretary Robert McDonald, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Rep. Jeff Miller ((R-Fla.), Oliver North, Montel Williams and many other distinguished guests will be addressing our Legion delegates and their family members next week. We expect to have a productive and enjoyable convention."

Will Hussein give special mention to the Corpse-Men in attendance?
Welcome to the hornets nest.

He will be preceded by the great LtCol Oliver North. Let’s hope North pulls no punches!
I sense the very real possibility of a kerfuffle
I thought maybe they meant Hitler’s Muslim Legions.
Why did they invite him of all people?
hope they all walked out or turned there backs......have to watch the news.Yea right
How’s THAT going to work out?
I am sure we ALL could probably retire nicely on what they’ll spend on security! :)
What’s next?
Obama to address ISIS convention Detroit Michigan,
fall of 2016?
Eat your government cheese and quit complaining! How am I supposed to enjoy my Prime Rib with all of you complaining? Eat your government cheese and if you vote Democrat, I’ll give you a few government crackers.
I hope they still have their BS Detectors to strap on their ears.
“With so many important issues ranging from the state of VA health care to the Global War on Terrorism “
HUH? There is a Global War on Terrorism? Did not know that. I know and can see the Islamic Global War on Civilization with many Terrorist groups aiding in that agenda but I can not see a Global War against that anywhere.............
So tell me again why the Vets might want to hear from Bernie Sanders? Yeah I know he has a bill up to pad the VA payroll in VA but other than that? He’s one of the dunces that was cutting VET spending in the first place.
“The American Legion was founded in 1919 on the four pillars of a strong national security, veterans affairs, Americanism, and youth programs.”
ehhh... I don’t see how his ‘vision’ aligns with the four founding pillars.
I am not a vet so I refrain from commenting further.
watched a little of it.
The camera man seemed infatuated of looking for black women in the crowd and kept panning in on them.
Also do some of these vets not know what the hell is going on with the cuts in the military, the homosexuality , and VA as some of them were clapping him.
Also Obama seems to be the greatest liar of all time. What he was spouting was nonsense.
LOL, feel the love! :) Good ole tone deaf Barry...then again they might just bus in supporters and bar AL members from attending.
Hopefully, every seat is empty and Bozo is there alone.
It would be nice if Oliver North asks for obama to explain where he was on 9-1-2012 when Americans were being shot at and killed with many wounded in Benghazi and just where are the survivers. Ask him if he enjoyed the party the next day and why he punished those that tried to rescue the Americans. Ask him to explain all the weapons going to the terrorists, the overthrow of gov’ts so the muslim brotherhood could take over etc etc etc.
