It's probably not really radar. It's probably a transponder, which can be switch off when desired.

How do they get it out of the country? the Kurds are land-locked. They must be paying huge fees to smugglers/turkish and iraqi politicians.

A maritime tracking system had not detected the tanker United Kalavryta since Monday night when a court ruling made it likely the legal battle will continue.
