Ukip are set to win their first Commons seat with a landslide 64 per cent of the vote following the biggest swing in modern political history. Turncoat MP Douglas Carswell is set to humiliate David Cameron at the Clacton by-election sparked by his defection, a Survation poll for The Mail on Sunday has revealed. The figures the first test of public opinion since the politician rocked Westminster by defecting to Nigel Farages party predict a record 48 point swing towards Ukip.

Would someone who understands the British political ssytm please explain this article to me.
GO NIGEL!!!!
UKIP is a political party very much like our Tea Party. Except, they are an organized party and run in elections as UKIP. The Tory’s used to
be the Conservative party in the UK. However, with the Brits being invaded
by aliens and bleeding their country dry, many British Patriots have had enough.
Cameron has turned the Conservative party leftward and has refused a referendum to leave the Socialist EU. The UKIP is gaining support because of that.
This fully explains all the tough conservative sounding talk coming from PM David Cameron lately including the terror alert.
The “Lavatories” are running scared.
Looks like the Brits are reading FR.
I think Rotherham and the future revelations of the same in other cities, will be rocking the political establishment over there.
UkIp, the emerging Conservative party in UK have had enough of open
borders, Muslims running wild in their country. Aliens bleeding their
welfare system dry and want out of the EU.
They are Patriots fighting to save their once great empire.
This seat is for a member of Parliament, an MP (like a Congressional seat), was held by a Conservative(aka a Tory, in US terms its a liberal Republican). After the Rotherham scandal the member who held the seat switched parties to UKIP, which is a much more conservative party. This makes him the first member UKIP has had in Parliament, though they hold a lot of local offices, municipal and county. At that point he had an option to let the matter stand or ask for a new election, which IMHO is the right thing to do, to make sure the electorate approves the change. It looks like he will win in a landslide. This is likely to prompt more defections to UKIP, which may critically weaken the Conservatives, possibly forcing a general election. Which at the moment, should it happen, is likely to result in UKIP gaining a lot of seats at the expense of all the other parties, possibly enough to force a party to form a coalition with them, for which they will certainly demand a referendum on membership in the EU, and probably other concessions. The Conservatives at this point can try head this off by making a deal (referendum now, and etc) to head off more defections. Its a game of chicken at this point.
"Marxist",as in Red Ed.
nttt
Huh?
If this poll is true, Cameron and the Tory’s had better change their policies.
British Patriots are sick of these fake conservatives. They are tired of lip
service. They want action. They see their country being over run by degenerates.
That’s strong brew, more significant than Cantor losing.
And the conservatives may be losing more defectors to UKIP?
The comments, btw, on Cameron after the article sound a lot like us buttering Boehner’s necktie here on FR.
The big issues—sovereignty from continental statism and no more open borders.
What a coinkydink.
Yep.
That question cause me to suspect that you don't follow British politics very closely.I do.If the result next May (their next national election) in the majority of constituencies is Marxist Labour 45%,Conservative 43%,UKIP 12% that means "Red Ed" Milliband (leader of the Marxist Labour Party) runs the country for 5 years.
Looks like Nigel Farage is going to be adding to the “People’s Army”, and probably win not only this by-election, but also quite a few at The UK’s general election in 2015! It would give me great hope as an American to see Nigel Farage in #10!
Perhaps Post #18 will answer your question.
