The map showing Patton’s gains is over-optimistic to say the least. We won’t be in Metz for quite a while.

Hopefully a map of 3rd Army's actual position will be shown on at least one of the maps among the 10 tons air-dropped to Patton Saturday night (pg 9).

Who knows, maybe the Metz info came form the Germans who probably thought Patton’s gains were even further. They were very worried about Patton. I image that, as with the Normandy invasion, the Germans were reacting to Patton’s ghost as much they were the real armor of the Third Army.
