This VA case was the “inspiration” for the Austin trolls to go after Gov. Perry with bogus charges, I’ll warrant. And the same “fix” is probably in with Perry. McDonnell and Perry will likely both get convicted in the first trial, and then exonerated on appeal. but their careers will have been ruined, and that’s the whole point.

It really doesn’t sound good listening to the stream.

I didn’t follow the trial so I really don’t have much of an opinion one way or the other.

I’ve done nothing wrong, not that that matters in a situation like this. But still, I believe that what I am doing is important enough to fight for it. If they try to put me on trial I’ll scream from the top of my lungs the truth about this compound and the agenda behind the prosecution. They’ll have to gag me to shut me up.

"Neither the people of Virginia, or a jury of their peers will fall for a partisan Justice Department witch hunt, relying on idioms and clichés made out of whole cloth and will at the end of the day find the governor and his wife innocent of a conspiracy so eminence."

Ooops.

The criminal IRS and criminal DOJ were active in prosecuting this case. How disgusting is that?

Not going to argue, your points are well taken.

But if he were a liberal, they would have ignored him unless there had been more direct evidence and major corruption........

Good luck with seeing the same standards applied to Dems........

but there is currently a strong movement underway to get rid of American football

I believe that is true. Football is a true American sport, thus all the attacks on the sport lately. I've seen indications that the left is trying to get the US to embrace soccer so more foreign competition can be introduced here. I noticed Obama himself mentioned head injuries from the WH and said if he had a son he would not play football.

Yes, one doubts if one is just being falsely conspiratorial...but you must with this current crowd who is in power. Hope you will not come under attack from these people. May God keep you from it.

For each of the two previous annual meetings of the Society for Neuroscience, the largest neuroscience society in the world, my research on this compound was selected as an oral presentation. That’s something of an honor and both times it was even selected as a “media hot topic” by the organizers, recognizing the importance of the research. It’s been selected once again for an oral presentation, for the third year in a row. I’m by no means a leader of my field of research, I’m a new scientist, but at these meetings I meet a lot of the top names in the field. I see what they say when the microphones aren’t on. I saw this movement against the NFL coming years ago when I was still working on my PhD.

I’m a very unusual conservative in a field filled with extremist liberals who have no particular love for American traditions or sports. At some of the more clinical conferences I’ve seen NFL physicians give talks who look like they’re just lambs being lead to the slaughter; they’re almost openly defensive in trying to make the case that they can “make the sport safe” by just adjusting the guidelines or the rules of the game. The lines of questioning they get imply a consensus is being developed that it will never be “safe enough.” I fully believe that it won’t stop there, the calls will keep coming to whittle away at the sport until it collapses. Obama’s remark that he wouldn’t let his son play football if he had a son just fits perfectly with the agenda I see being developed by the leaders in the head injury research field.

Right now they’re building up the case for getting rid of the sport by gradually nerfing it. Mark my words. Eventually it will reach a critical mass and you’ll start to see democrats openly campaigning on the basis that they will pass legislation against the NFL, Obama’s remarks were just the first warning shot.

Obama’s remarks were just the first warning shot.

Yes, and the hype about the World Cup coincided with his comment.

These people are unbelievably evil. They are attempting to undermine every American institution.

I can imagine the difficulties of being a conservative in your field. Thank God there are people like you. I think there will be a revolution in the sciences ultimately. Let's hope it will happen soon. Global Warming is the main front but yours and other battles are tremendously vital IMO.

We watched it about five minutes on TV and got sick to our stomachs. Virginia will get passed this but it will take a while.
