Fungal meningitis is not contagious? So why so many cases?

MA is conducting testing for TB. We can track the whereabouts of the illegals by the disease outbreak patterns.

There's a pattern, whooping cough and TB in California, lung infections in the mid-west, now this.
Dare I say the cause?

I was concerned. I was seriously searching for other articles on Tennessee Meningitis to confirm. Especially after the posts speculating that it was a contagious fungal meningitis. When I couldn't find anything except 2012 articles, I got suspicious.
My dad actually came down with fungal meningitis in 2011. This was prior to the compounding pharmacy debacle. They think he breathed in a corn fungus, something we all do every day, and it managed to set up shop on his brain. 35 days in the hospital, and a stroke before they beat it. It seriously rocked his world.

This is going to turn into one great big, virus-riddled elephant in the room.
