Not only do I know where Scotland is, I know its primary regions:

Highland
Island (sub-section of the Highland region, north west coast)
Speyside (northeastern coastal area of the Highland region)
Islay (southern west coast)
Lowland
Campbeltown

;-)

I also know what a "See You Jimmy" hat is. (Hint: NOT the same as a "Jimmy Hat").

Hope you get to go. I wouldn’t recommend Northern Ireland.

How many Europeans, could find a given state, in a country the size of the US?

'Back in the day' when I was working we did bidness with a lot of Australians...there were several of 'em who liked to play a game - against we, the Americanese - to name each of our state's location and capital.

...ahem - they would win.

That 67% all have an opinion on the vote, I would suspect. Their ObNanny told them No is good.

We rank first in water surface area as a percentage of the state 39,000 sq Miles). Obviously we have the most freshwater shoreline and we also have the most lighthouses.

Not that I’m defending the notorious empty-headedness of a large number of Americans when it comes to geography, but that 33% figure is based on the impressions of those polled. Only 33% think their fellow Americans can find Scotland on a map. In reality they may be overestimating... but that headline is a bit misleading.

Most Democrat voters couldn’t find Scotland on a map of Scotland.

Waycross?

That’s by area.

By area it’s Brooklyn, but the it isn’t a separate city anymore.

I thought it was a silhouette of a Bart Simpson in a sad or contemplative mood. This is a good example of why I try to avoid ink blot tests.
