I prefer the Glenlivet, but try any Speyside single malt, and I think you’ll be impressed.

Ah, yes, I’ve been there and have enjoyed. I have been impressed!

I have fond memories of my visits to Scotland, both as a ‘tourist’ and on business. This spans a three year period from ‘78 - ‘81 when I lived in Northern Ireland (employed by an American Company with facilities in the UK).

"Only 33% of Americans Can Find Scotland On a Map?"

"...only 33% think most of their fellow countrymen can even locate Scotland on a map."

That says a lot about which class is more ignorant and illogical. We see it every day from journalists in the sponsored propaganda. Their clients are satisfied with their work, too, or their employment wouldn't continue.

I was in the UK as a civilian dependent kid, ‘68-’71... Pop was USAF.

I’ve sampled many good single malts, and the best I’ve had are from the Livet, and Fiddich, and both are Speyside. I would love to go on a distillery tour...

Yes, I’m a young punk, 51 year old Grampa.

I can find the small village on a map of East Ayreshire, Scotland, from which my mother’s maiden name is derived.

Thence to Londonderry, Boston in 1718, New Hmpshire, Maine, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Minnesota in 1856, California in 1928.

I find it hard to believe, but then I remember that Obama won twice and suddenly it’s much easier to believe.

I’m surprised it’s that high of a percentage. Of course, they probably used google maps and were the 33% that could spell Scotland correctly...

Yes, unfortunately I can’t seem to remember things like that, or dates. My geographical knowledge is sketchy at best.

When I was in high school myself and other students could name every state and capital and find them on a map. My public schooled nieces and nephews cannot name or find 1/3 of them.

I can find Scotland in the liquor store. Past that, I have no use for the place.
