Another warrant has been issued for the arrest of one of rancher Cliven Bundy’s sons, a little more than a month after he was released from jail. Bundy’s 34-year-old son, also named Cliven Lance Bundy, failed to appear in court this week for a hearing before Judge Linda Marie Bell, who issued a warrant for his arrest. Bundy was arrested last month for criminal contempt and parole violations on burglary and weapons theft charges. Bell had issued a warrant for Bundy in July after he didn’t appear for a drug diversion program hearing. He had undergone hip surgery the day the July hearing was scheduled, according to his father. The younger Bundy was ordered last month to report to an intensive drug treatment facility in Las Vegas, according to his lawyer Jeff Rue, with the Clark County Public Defender’s Office.

Ruby Ridge started with a deliberately fraudulent warrant issued for Randy Weaver.

If he made no attempt to show, or if his lawyer did not notify the judge that he was in surgery, that is not a reasonable excuse.

Judges do not like to be kept waiting.

Judges do not like to be kept waiting.

Like good elitists. And we peasants must be made to comply!

“Judges do not like to be kept waiting.”

No dog in this specific hunt. I don’t know the details, so I can’t comment on right nor wrong.

BUT - judges are citizens, and one of the failings of our society is the judges deem themselves better than we. Demi-gods, emperors and kings they believe themselves to be. To often they believe themselves to be the office and the court.

Hip surgery’s not an unilateral excuse unless it was emergency surgery. Otherwise, Bundy or his lawyer needed to notify the judge and obtain a postponement. Simply failing to show because of hip surgery is not an excuse.

There's more to the story.

Young Bundy had missed several previous scheduled court appearances. He moved around without notifying the court of his new address(es) and the court had no idea where to contact him.

At the time of his outpatient hip surgery (the day of his scheduled appearance), he was staying with his parents in Bunkerville and was no longer in Las Vegas.

Young Bundy's parents said they thought he had obtained a medical release from his court date, but that was all in somebody's imagination.

Sure some of them do. Look how the judges tolerate the Clown Prince nobama administration’s many, many crimes.

Appearance in court is not a request, it is a demand. All it would have taken is simple communication with the court.

But Hillary missed a meeting with congress because she was clumsy. Oh wait she is not like the rest of us, she is special and we are expendable.

I have to admit, I was sympathetic toward the Bundy cause, but...but, you cannot just flippantly blow off the judge.

Some folks walk around with a black cloud hanging over them and they constantly b!tch that they are being done sooooo wrong. I can't understand why they are pick on me. I didn't do anything wrong to deserve this...and so forth.

Never accepting responsibility for their own actions. Hope this is not what it seems. Otherwise, I'd feel a lil like crow for supper.

Some things cannot be fought in court, especially when judges share the same employer with the blm and reid.

I respect the role of courts in adjudicating the law and disagreements between citizens. Having been very close/ working with the judicial system for years I learned it can be manipulated by crooked judges and their friends for their own purposes. However, Bundy needs to make sure he is just not showing personal contempt for the legal system.
