Many LA Republicans are openly or clandestinely for Landrieu.

Then why are they calling themselves a Republican? I mean, if Maness was taking her on instead of Cassidy, we know RINOs prefer a Dem to a Conservative, but Cassidy is part of the GOP Establishment.
One of the Landrieu “Republicans” is former State Senator Mike Michot of Lafayette; another is “Boysie” Bollinger, son of a former Republican state chairman. Another former chairman, Pat Brister, has warmly praised Landrieu but not have actually endorsed her.
