LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - An Israeli-owned container ship that was blocked from unloading its cargo at the Port of Oakland by pro-Palestinian protesters over the weekend was headed to Los Angeles on Monday, according to a ship-tracking website.

The Zim Shanghai left Oakland with its cargo still onboard on Sunday evening, according to the website marinetraffic.com. It was expected to arrive in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Some 200 people angry over Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip in response to Hamas rocket salvoes staged a protest of the Zim Shanghai at the Port of Oakland on Saturday morning and again that afternoon.

Members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, saying they were threatened physically and their vehicles blocked as they tried to report to work, refused to unload the ship.

What smells is that the ILWU was so dominated by Soviet operative and CPUSA secret Central Committee member (1934-35, etc) Harry Bridges and fellow Communists, that the red stink of treason is still strong amongst them.

And these were the vaunted strong-arm longshoremen who threatened to close down all shipping to Hawaii, and were planning a merger with Jimmy (Where Are You) Hoffa’s Teamsters Union.

Pathetic red losers but with a lot of power on the docs of the Left Coast (helped the Occupy Movement when OM didn’t hassle their men in Washington State, etc).

Now you know the behind the scenes story.

If I were located in Oakland and I was feeling froggy, I’d get my buddies together and stomp Commie nuts into the concrete.

(It’s time to present leftists with serious consequences for their conduct; it’s what leftists understand.)

Members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, saying they were threatened physically...

The Longshormen have become a bunch of sissies. Historically it was the Longshoremen who did the threatening.

(sniff), (sniff) Smells like bullsh*t.

I wonder what would happen if 200 Tea Partiers tried to block the unloading of a particular ship.

The consignees of whatever freight was aboard could damm sure recover any extra costs that get laid on them——that’s a just plain case of damages. And the Port of Oakland could have its butt hanging out too if the consignors/consignees get PO’d.
