It’s sad, Brady, who had it stolen last time, was the most conservative GOP nominee since our last conservative Governor, Stratton.

Big Jim Thompson and Jim Edgar and were yer typical “moderate” RINOs, their successors, arch-RINO Geo Ryan, Blago, and Quinny boy, have been so putrid that I would jump for joy to have a Jim Edgar type in office again.

“Rauner supports the law that allows illegal aliens to get DL’s.”

Yes, because the law is popular among the powers-that-be in IL. But if the legislature (including every Republican and RINO there) votes to repeal the law, there’s no way that he’d stick his neck out and veto it. Quinn, though, would veto it, because liberal Democrats would be against the repeal.

Grimm is pro-life and anti-illegal alien, and he wants to eliminate the income tax. All of those facts prove that he’s conservative.

He obviously is not what you claim, or he would not belong to the rabidly pro-abortion and open borders and gay agenda libertarian party.

Do you know what his party’s position on immigration is?

Yes, I know his party’s position on immigration. The party website states, “For those workers already in the United States illegally, we can avoid “amnesty” and still offer a pathway out of the underground economy. Newly legalized workers can be assessed fines and back taxes and serve probation befitting the misdemeanor they’ve committed. They can be required to take their place at the back of the line should they eventually apply for permanent residency.”

Many politicians disagree with their party platform. The republican platform states that the party is pro-life and pro-gun rights, but Sen. Mark Kirk disagrees with the platform, on both of those issues. I research each candidate’s views, and I don’t assume that a candidate agrees with his or her party platform.

The libertarian platform is radical leftists in many ways, your man supports it over all others.

Here is the full text version of the libertarian position on immigration.

COMPLETE PLATFORM TEXT
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS AND CIVIL ORDER

IMMIGRATION:
“”THE ISSUE: We welcome all refugees to our country and condemn the efforts of U.S. officials to create a new “Berlin Wall” which would keep them captive. We condemn the U.S. government’s policy of barring those refugees from our country and preventing Americans from assisting their passage to help them escape tyranny or improve their economic prospects.

THE PRINCIPLE: We hold that human rights should not be denied or abridged on the basis of nationality. Undocumented non-citizens should not be denied the fundamental freedom to labor and to move about unmolested. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age or sexual preference. We oppose government welfare and resettlement payments to non-citizens just as we oppose government welfare payments to all other persons.

SOLUTIONS: We condemn massive roundups of Hispanic Americans and others by the federal government in its hunt for individuals not possessing required government documents. We strongly oppose all measures that punish employers who hire undocumented workers. Such measures repress free enterprise, harass workers, and systematically discourage employers from hiring Hispanics.

TRANSITIONAL ACTION: We call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.””

Rauner is an improvement. I was speaking with an Aldermanic COS and they don’t think Quinn will win.

Remind me who’s running against Durbin? Does that candidate know that Durbin guaranteed you’d get to keep your insurance once he voted for Democratcare?

I don't think Oberdouche knows which way up is.

Surprisingly this race turned out to be winnable, and Obi is not capitalizing on his opportunity. I guess he likes losing, that would explain why he keeps running, he just enjoys it in a masochistic sort of way.
