I post this only because I'm curious as to the connection between Brady and Drudge.
No athlete has appeared on the Drudge Report more than Brady, going way back to the State of the Union with Bush - through the Super Bowls, etc.
Even on Tuesday, Drudge had Brady headlined as the lead story for a loss in game 4 of the regular season. Not a major story in my eyes.
What is the deal?

He'll be running for office after his career in the NF(elons)L is over.

I googled “Matt Drudge Tom Brady” and others have noticed the man-crush Drudge has for Tommy.

The only thing that comes to mind is that Brady is a known conservative. It is much better to have Brady on Drudge than the NFL thugs, don’t you think?
I do not particularly like a team to dominate in any sport. It is time for the Patriots to ‘rebuild’.

I didn’t know he was conservative. As a fan, I always pegged him as apolitical, maybe slightly liberal.

The greatest draft pick in sports history.

What is the deal? If Drudge is good at anything, he is good at getting people to click on his website. He has found out that the Brady articles get attention. It is probably no more complicated than that.

Hey,at least none of our guys have recently been charged with three murders. That’s a plus!

Brady is a bad whiny man who can't play football. Anybody, especially any FReeper, could play football better than him.
I don't like or follow football and know nothing about Brady, but I have gleaned the above information from skimming replies to threads such as this.

One would only hope. He would be outstanding. Shape our country into shape as he has done with The Patriots. You hope for him to run for office is mine as well and hopefully most of the country. He has NEVER been in the paper for any personal problems or controversies.

European not much of a surprise. He has his own opinion. One does not have to follow what the wife believes.

He’s too smart to want to live in Washington.

Brady has had a good run, but NFL careers do not last forever.
I think kickers are the only ones that can really stretch it out.
To: GunRunner
Very true. I forgot he would have to live in that cess poll.

Well, if you read it, it must be true. But, it’s not.

DrudgeReport has always had a bit of tabloidism in it. I think it makes it more interesting than being exclusively hard news and doom-and-gloom.
Brady just happens to be a great tabloid subject—handsome, successful, single (at one time), celebrity marriage. He’s in the supermarket tabloids, too.
