If you want to hang out with this guy (below)- Don Juan of Austria (yes, THE Don Juan), hero of Christendom, then you need to listen to the Special Presentation of the Buck Sexton Show- "THE BATTLE OF LEPANTO"- this Tuesday, October 7th-- the anniversary of the battle in 1517 that changed the world.
It will be unlike any radio show you have ever heard before.
All you have to do is click theblaze.com/radio at 12 ET on Tuesday.
Here is a link to Buck Sexton's podcast page: Click Here
I will be downloading the podcast. It should be good. I really enjoy Buck Sexton's podcasts. They are very informative.

Oh good grief.
Need more of them.. Less “social justice” and “welcoming the immigrant” and more aimed fire at the slimes of the world.
EWTN is also running a series on the Crusades this week, too.
The episodes feature leading Crusades scholars.
10 p.m. ET from Wednesday, Oct. 8 through Saturday, Oct. 11.
I’d assume you’re not a Catholic. They were, and they knew perfectly well that Our Lady was supporting them.
The presumption that Mary was involved, or is involved, in any of our daily lives is not supported in any way by the Bible. I’ll stay with Christ being active I my life.
Is this the Don Juan featured in the great Spanish Play “Don Juan in Hell?” After his victory over the Turks, how come he ended up in Hell?
Well, the Papal States contributed ships and troops, along with the other Catholic nations. And maybe God answered their prayers. It's possible.
You can look up what the Protestant nations were doing, or not doing.
When you find your principle of "the Bible alone as the sole rule of faith," in the Bible, let us know.
Luther's theory cuts both ways.

Bishop Odo - half brother of Wiliam of Normandy aka The
Conqueror
In 1517, the year of Lepanto, Martin Luther had not yet posted the 95 Theses on the cathedral door. That didn’t happen until October 31. There were no Protestant nations yet as of that time.
When you allow teaching other than the Bible to influence you you're on shaky ground.
What else would you base your principle's on? Man-made ideas??

“Those who depict Islam as a religion of peace are ignoring History....”
.
Those non-Muslims who depict Islam as a “religion of peace” have a sinister agenda.
the action seems to be in two directions. is he keeping the spear guys on task?
As I recall, the Saxons didn’t have any archers and cavalry like the Normans, but were in a strong position at the top of a hill with swamp on either side. The Norman cavalry charged the Saxon shieldwall then retreated several times but couldn’t break it, which I think is what’s going on there. Finally the Saxon center broke ranks to chase after them and were caught in the open by Norman archers and infantry and slaughtered. About the same time an arrow killed King Harold, and the Saxons routed.
William had a mounted hit squad to get Harold, and after the shield wall broke - to pursue the Normans - they got to him.
Harold’s army had just double-timed to Hastings after defeating a Viking army at Stamford Bridge; they almost won at Hastings as well.
To this day Spaniards are exempt from the abstinence rule - from meat - because of Lepanto.
sounds like liberalism....rules for thee, but not for me.
