he Supreme Court has turned away appeals from five states seeking to prohibit same-sex marriages, paving the way for an immediate expansion of gay and lesbian unions.
The justices on Monday did not comment in rejecting appeals from Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The court's order immediately ends delays on marriage in those states. Couples in six other states should be able to get married in short order.
That would make same-sex marriage legal in 30 states and the District of Columbia.
But the justices have left unresolved for now the question of same-sex marriage nationwide.

They have not left anything unresolved. They have made it clear they expect every other court to follow suit and legalize homosexual marriage. Unhappily, this has been the result of 50+ years of viewing marriage as being about adult happiness rather than building the next generation and a societal interest in stable families raising kids with effective role models.
But if anyone had opposed easy divorce laws in the 60s based on the idea that a slippery slope had been created that would allow homosexuals marriage to be endorsed by the US government, they would have been laughed at!
Those morons are unaccountable and could care less about what we think about their rulings. They are the high priests.
The country is run by liberal elites, statists, and corrupt career politicians who impose their will on the rest of us. The system is broken and beyond repair. Just saying.
Denying the appeals is effectively ruling against them, in those cases where the status quo allows SSM. This is a bad outcome.
This non-ruling will effectively make it legal in 30 states and DC. Aside from the 5 listed above, it also will make it legal in North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Colorado, Kansas and Wyoming.

You don't honestly believe that lesbians innocently chose "Christian bakeries and photographers" to demand their "right to be served" do you?
Nope, it's the "we just want to be left alone to live our lives" folk that seek out those they know, find their choice of behavior to be an abomination in the sight of God, to demand their "rights," knowing full well that liberal jurists will grant their "right to be served" by anyone wishing to earn their livelihood in Amerika.
That this is virtual forced slavery of the worst kind, seemingly matters not in Amerika today. God help us!
It look like they have no concern for rule of law only social change.
They are getting closer to becoming dangerous.
The bad thing is this could become a legislative battle like the right to life but in the meantime, same-sex marriages are given governmental licenses too and it would be difficult to then ever nullify the licenses down the road.
This will not end well for the homosexual degenerates. But I repeat myself. Nature will find a way to cleans itself of this, one way or another.
It’s too bad, the same-sex marriage advocates would say “It’ll be legal with 2 years” or something like that and it looks like they are right.
I *could not* care less about their rulings if I tried.

Yea its funny people do not realize all these bad things that are happening to this nation are the beginnings of judgments coming down...it will get much much worse..
What if all Christian business owners sold their businesses, went on welfare, and started having lots of babies?
If the US doesn't want them to conduct business the way they choose, then why not become a weight on that government?
