The nurses caring for Duncan wore a gown, a paper mask, goggles and gloves. (As shown on Dallas WFAA TV evening news.) That kind of protocol was designed for minimal protection. Actually, protection so that the nurse does not give the patient anything.
We have images in our heads that full hazmat suits were employed. But that seems to not be the case.
What the hell is CDC doing where minimal standards are allowed?
