Bruce Rauner leaves much to be desired in his views. Still, his wealth is being used for a major GOTV operation, which should benefit conservatives and TEA Party supporters in November.
The same thing could be said for Willard in MA in 2002 and 2004, and look how that turned out.
BTW, Bill Kelly is running his first TV ad for mayor of Chicago. People complain he’s a political gadfly but the spot he’s running looks pretty effective and serious to me. If he’s able to get on the ballot, he’ll be the first GOP candidate for mayor of Chicago in 20 years. I think the election is February 2015, with the runoff in April. (all candidates for city offices run in a big “non-partisan” election and don’t have their party listed on the ballot).
