President Barack Obama abruptly canceled a planned campaign trip Wednesday and planned to convene his Cabinet at the White House instead, as U.S. officials grappled with the widening Ebola crisis.
The White House said Obama’s trip to New Jersey and Connecticut would be postponed to a later date. Obama was to speak to reporters on Wednesday afternoon after meeting with top officials who are coordinating the government’s response to Ebola.
Obama’s decision to nix the trip—just a few hours before Air Force One was scheduled to depart—reflected the urgency facing the administration amid the American public’s escalating concerns about potential spread of the virus. …

The only reason he’s doing this: the political necessity of looking like he’s “doing something” has outweighed a campaign fundraising trip.

Obama is overheard speaking in low tones, “Okay, I want action plans on how we can best use this situation to meet our needs. Submit as many as you can to ....... and we’ll narrow it down to two or three good ones, and meet again to select the best path to subterfuge.”
Nonsense. He’s staying in the outhouse with his cadre in an attempt to develop new speaking points necessary to explain away his poll numbers. As long as he and his are disease free he doesn’t give the proverbial tinkers dam about this or any other illness.
I would think that he would use his community organizing skills to contain it.
Lord knows that the exhibition of competence from the CDC is inspiring confidence in the population.(/S)
I don’t believe this. If he cancelled a trip, it was so he could get in another game of golf, not deal with Ebola.

Just figuring out how to not let a crisis go to waste.
To little too late. If he had just used his pen and phone a few weeks ago to stop people from Ebola infected countries from entering the US, we would not have any US contracted Ebola cases. Perhaps this will be a wake up call for all but the most low information voters that Obama’s open borders could be killing us and our children
