We’ll know in a month.
A lot of people rode that plane on other flights after she got off but before it was “cleansed”.

The report I saw didn’t say. It just said that those who were being monitored for symptoms had been told they should not fly until they were cleared from monitoring. The CDC says it will now take active steps to make sure they do not violate that ban.

This being a domesticated household I assume you have some cleaning products under the kitchen sink?.......

“Cleaned” on an overnight service is more like fluffed and buffed.

No seat covers changed unless obviously damaged. No carpet pieces changed unless they “squish” when stepped on. Most of the used airsick bags removed. Some of the really dog eared magazines changed. Only the big meaty pieces removed from the overhead bins.

Even after “cleaning” they are still filthy.

I wonder if the plane(s) Patient Zero flew on ever got cleaned or taken out of service.

Even after “cleaning” they are still filthy.

That's in normal use. But, but... there's a CDC standard. Have you lost faith?

Bet they just folded the blankets.

They’ve already said the plane made 5 more flights before the end of the day’s cleaning.

The CDC says it will now take active steps to make sure they do not violate that ban. Really......wow. So now no more planes flying in country from West Africa?

she was symptomatic when she boarded the plane

Then she should be charged with attempted murder. Enough with this voluntary quarantine stuff.

By the time he was identified, hundreds (thousands?) had likely subsequently ridden on that plane.

So maybe it’s a good sign that more cases haven’t been identified by now.

My guess is this nurse had suspicions about herself when she got on the plane and was frightened and wanted to be with her family. I can’t think of anything more frightening than someone telling me I had Ebola. Unfortunately, now her whole family has been put in jeopardy also. Unless she told them to stay at arm’s length from her. Would be interesting to see if she did warn them about getting in proximity to her. She also could have just been lying to herself when her temp went up for no good reason. Other than ebola, of course.

Possibly a CDC standard, but it is the same cleaning crew as last month. Very doubtful any changes trickle down to the airplane itself. But the paperwork looks peachy and everything is supposed to be perfect,” cause thats what it says here on this piece of paper from the CDC in Atlanta Ga.”

I suppose that’s true and understandable. But it is stupid.

She put everyone she came in contact with at risk.

Maybe she just couldn’t put two and two together. She’d been assured that the protocols worked, and didn’t believe ebola could happen to her. But, she’s a medical person, and comes in contact with all sorts of people who have less serious diseases. I can understand that kind of thinking, but it is kind of unimaginative and dumb.

Great, great reference to Garrett Morris having to clean the reactor at Three Mile Island.

SNL needs to redo that script with a plane this weekend.

There is a possibility it will be out of control at that point, unless the powers-that-be decide to get honest right now. Can anyone comprehend the guilt someone incurs by covering up anything about this peril?

Just yesterday I was on a plane and when the man next to me pulled out his tray it definitely had not been cleaned!!

I wasn’t going to touch anything I didn’t have to. Never pulled a tray out. Never went to the lav. If I have to fly again I’ll wear depends.

If I ever fly again, I may invest in a STADIUM PAL. (Sorry, they don't make these for ladies).
