An unnamed person who was being monitored for possible symptoms of Ebola after coming into contact with infected Spanish nurse Teresa Romero has developed a fever and was admitted to hospital in Madrid on Thursday.
Fernando Simon, head of the Spanish ministry of health's crisis management team, revealed that the person admitted to Madrid's Carlos III Hospital was one of 68 in the category considered to be at "low risk" of infection.
A further 15 people are considered to be at "high risk" but none of them have yet shown any symptoms, according to Spanish daily 20 Minutos.
Simon underlined that the patient's fever was mild and that the admission to hospital was a precautionary measure in line with the protocols established in the wake of the Ebola crisis.

The ones who were in contact directly or indirectly after the patient zero’s in each country that are unknown are the worrisome ones. Who knows where and what Thomas Duncan did out in town while the virus was transferring to every surface he touched, sneezed on, or wiped sweat on.
What I find highly odd is that the race baiters all came out and called the hospital racist. With his family he hadn’t seen in 16 years, started making waves, and have not heard anything from them since. What happened with that? Are they all sick? Weren’t Jackson and Ventura in close contact with them all? How did the family get permission to break a legally placed quarantine on them, and their home?
Imagine a government that protects its citizens from diseases that should never be there in the first place.
One persons car crash today, does not cause ten car crashes tomorrow. Those ten car crashes tomorrow, had they occurred, would not cause 100 car crashes the next day, etc., etc., etc.
Now do you see the faultiness of your logic? Every epidemic started out with patient zero, including AIDS. How did AIDS turn out?
It’s a risk/reward formula. Not that I agree with the math, but the argument is that the reduction in freedom is not worth the reduction in risk achieved.
Problem is, it is an “opinion” thing. But if the number of cases increases very much (a thousand or so in the US), opinion may change.
I understand that aspect of it, but the truth is that the numbers, when compared to the total world population size, are still not that high.
The way this thing is being reported is very wierd. Something stinks and I can’t put my finger on what it is, yet.

seeing the shack-up being interviewed on the talk shows?
The only relatives we hear about are the ones Je$$e Jack$on is tapping into for his latest payoff. And I am pretty sure they were not in contact with Duncan.
The issue is doubling the numbers every 28 days. We're over 9,000 known cases today, 18,000 in mid-November, 36,000 in early December, 72,000 at the end of the year, 144,000 by the end of January. Include the fact that WHO/CDC believes the actual numbers are 2.5 to 4 times as big (or more), and you're talking 350,000 to 500,000 by the end of January, 2015.
It's worse though. Doubling times in Guinea are shorter. Doubling times in the cities are much shorter. We could easily be over a million in January, and from there it could get unpleasant. Imagine survivors from among the 12,000,000 people in those three countries trying to run to safety, some of them carrying Ebola with them as they cross borders and lie about where they are from so they will not be turned back. Imagine them trying to reach Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia to get better medical care if they get sick. This is real, and it will take a miracle to contain it. There are treatments and vaccines in the pipeline, but we're not ready and won't be until June at the earliest.
Yeh, It looks like it could be serious in the civilized countries. That’s why it’s interesting to watch. But my take is that it’s all part of the mix. The world economy collapsing, the threat of CWII in the US, the threat of ISIS, Putin, and now all these diseases.
The dirty little secret about my tag line is that obama is only a pereferal aspect of my comment. It’s more the time frame I’m talking about, not obama, specifically. i.e. I don’t think it will last much longer even if obama was gone today.
On a related note, I just finished listening to Revelation again on my way to work. It can be argued that it talks about this.
I'd agree with your concern. The problem with Obama being in power isn't his shocking level of evil (which, thank God, is mitigated by his laziness and his inept performance). My biggest worry is that he had so many votes that he was able to take and hold power for eight years. That's the worst indicator for our long-term prospects.

Around 1990 I used to say I feel like a jew in early 1930’s Germany.
The situation is much worse today.
