Bermuda is a lovely place. It is deeply Christian with wonderful people. It is unbelievably small and remote. Bermuda has been getting hurricanes since the dawn of time and will be getting them after we are all gone. They have a strong one coming tomorrow, maybe within a few miles of Hamilton, it's currently a cat 4. One has died in Puerto Rico. Apparently the worst will come down tomorrow evening.
Prayers sent to those people so cut off from everything...may GOD hold them in HIS hands...
For most of my life I assumed Bermuda was somewhere off the coast of Florida. When I looked it up once I was surprised how far North it is.
I bet it has a wonderful climate.
It sure looks like it is going to get hit really hard.
Thank you for the reminder that we need to pray for them. With all this Ebola talk your post is a great reminder of what is important right now
Thank you for the reminder. Praying for their safety.
Prayers for the folks there.
Amen and Amen.
Prayers for the good people of Bermuda. I vacation there often, and it is a wonderful place.
One of my favorite places, prayers for safety of the Bermudans and that there is not much destruction.
The opposite of what I pray for happens.
Never prayed harder in my life than before the 08 election.
So they don’t want me praying for them.
I was there 28 years ago, this week. Too bad the marriage didn’t last as long as the fond memories. We’ll always have Bermuda... :-)
The Mermaid Beach Club. Sex on the beach under the moon in a little hideaway between the large outcroppings of rocks. Cruising the island on our mopeds. Laps around the round-abouts on the mopeds trying to figure out how to get off. Black Seal rum swizzles (part of the reason we had such a time getting off the round-abouts). The glass-bottom boat dinner cruise with the open bar and a 16 year old local bartender who kept serving up the Slippery Nipples. Stumbling off said glass bottom boat at the dock in Hamilton and wandering into the first bar we saw, The Cock and Feather... It was a WHAT?! Didn’t even realize it was the only gay bar on the island until the waitress at the Mermaid Beach told us the next morning. No wonder those fellers were so friendly!
My face hurt for two weeks after from a week’s worth of smiling and laughs. I was in Bermuda a couple of times before then and I’ve been there a few times since but, though nothing ever compared, I always found myself smiling each time. Great memories.
Praying for the good people of Bermuda.
Prayers up that Bermuda is spared the worst.
