And they probably don’t even see the irony of their actions. Sad.

This shot was taken at the recent rally in Seattle.

Sadly -- or not -- the rally was held at a local beach below the high tide line. Despite Algore's efforts to halt the process, the tide did come in, decimating the Demoncrat population in that city. Oh, the horror!

So what will experienced people who already make $15 to $20 per hour make?

Do t forget, that’s is a maximum threshold of earnings while still collecting go t handouts. I doubt you will see it raised past that. You could work a few hours a week and still get govt money. Pay raise!

Concerning the $20 minimum wage being pushed by Seattle Socialist Party, this is the first time that I’ve seen the issue in the context of federal minimum wage.

The major constitutional problem with federal minimum wage is the following. With the exception of the federal entities indicated in the Constitution’s Clauses 16 & 17 of Section 8 of Article I as examples, entities under the exclusive legislative control of Congress, the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to establish a national minimum wage.

The only reason a federal minimum wage exists, imo, is because corrupt, Constitution-ignoring federal politicians have been successfully exploiting the idea of higher and higher national minumum wage in order to win votes from low-information voters, voters who don’t know about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers any more than the people that elect to office do.

So what the misguided Seattle Socialist Party needs to do if they really want a higher federal minimum wage is the following. They need to work with both state and federal lawmakers to propose a minimum wage amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify the proposed amendment then Congress will have the specific power that it needs to establish and regulate a national minimum wage and the Seattle Socialist Party will be a hero.
