Recently appearing on a live presentation broadcast in 1,400 churches nationwide, Lila Rose and Kristan Hawkins shared with Tony Perkins of Family Research Council how they became pro-life activists at age 15 — inspired to speak up for the pre-born who have no voice:
Rose, who heads up the new media movement Live Action, quickly provides a few key statistics on “the sheer loss of life — what abortion is doing to women, to men, to our society”:

Yet there is reason for hope. Working with over 830 student groups across America, Kristan Hawkins tells of what Students for Life of America is seeing on the front lines.
“We’re doing these displays on college campuses raising the issues of rape, sexual violence and abortion — really hard issues. Students are coming up to us and agreeing with us,” she says. “They understand that abortion is violence, it’s a violation of fundamental human rights.”

Giving voice to the mission of Bound4LIFE and other groups mobilizing prayer, these two fiery leaders emphasize there’s a spiritual dimension to pro-life victories. “We can end abortion in our lifetime,” says Rose. “Part of that is a political solution, part of that is a prayer solution, and part of that is what we do everyday in our communities through activism and acts of compassion.”

“Our churches should pray without ceasing, stand up for life, and continue moving forward,” urges Hawkins. “Jesus told us that we are the light. We go into a dark room, we have this candle of light, and the darkness flees. All we’re doing is speaking the truth.”
