During Bush's first term, Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and the White House.

And, as the author points out, nothing got done. At least nothing we wanted to get done.

The only 'us vs. them' that really counts is the electorate vs. the elected.

First, Bush wasn't a conservative. But, he still passed through tax cuts and FAR better judges on the Supreme Court than Kagan and Sotomayer. We also didn't see the Republicans try to pass a government takeover of healthcare.

The Bush years were paradise compared to what has gone on under Obama.

It's moronic contention. We got tax cuts. Far more conservative justices on the SCOTUS than under Obama or Clinton. We didn't get a government takeover of healthcare. We didn't ended up with gays in the military or troops being exposed to Ebola. Or open borders. Or a corrupted IRS. Or a President bypassing congress to enact amnesty for illegals.

It's absolutely IDIOTIC to claim there is no difference between the parties.
