The thickness and lies are rampant in this piece.

This is to make Obamacare states that were stupid enough to expand Medicare exponentially, thus insuring their future bankruptcy, feel better….especially Democrats facing elections next week.

From the story:
“The Congressional Budget Office has said that $100 billion dollars will be reduced in the federal budget deficit by the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, despite adding heath coverage for about 10 million people.”

Really????

He postponed the most devastating costs until after the 2014 elections. Lets see them right this story a year from now ( though they would probably just update the pack of lies )

the only people that got better plans were the ones with no plans at all, and who also were willing to accept one as long as it was essentially free. and there is no proof whatsoever that the quality of their actual healthcare improved.

Affordable Care Act offers better healthcare plans to millions of Americans

0bama's socialist "medicine" is affecting even mainstream medical insurance. My wife has Humana - NOT 0BAMACRE - and she has been informed that her premium will go from $300/month to $700/month next year, and this is not because she cost them anything, she hasn't even come close to the $5000 deductible.

Once upon a time, “reporters” were unbiased observers.

Now, they’re nothing but propagandists for the regime.

They count the fact that men are now offered free abortions as an additional benefit and ignore the fact that costs have doubled. I guess if you do that, its “better.”

The insurance expansion under the Affordable Care Act will cost $1.383 trillion over the next decade, more than $100 billion less than previous forecasts from CBO. This was back in April. They are twisting this estimate and it is only an estimate.

The reform has been able to...bring down the cost of health care.

Not for me. Premiums up over 1/3. I have to pay the full cost of a specialist now, not the $100 copay (insurance doesn't help till I pay $5000).

All raises swallowed up with Obamacare at the Hospital where my wife works for 2015. Her raises the last two years swallowed up with the cost of Obamacare for 2013 and 2014. Imagine the poor nurses who didn't get raises - they took a pay cut.

I posted this is on Disqus - will post here just in case the moderators don’t approve my posting there:

If only that was true... millions of people are losing coverage they want to keep and are being forced to buy more expensive plans with more deductibles up front. How does that save them money?

And those who can’t have to do without or sign up for government-run health care. If Obamacare actually brought down the cost of health care, doesn’t the writer of this story consider the Democrats would actually tout it as an accomplishment?

Plus, adding a new entitlement is not reducing the federal deficit. Ms. Campbell can believe all she wants it works - in some alternate universe. The American people will have their say next week.

So what if no doctors or hospitals accept the Obamacare plans?

So what if the Obamacare plans cost several times more than your old plan that your doctor and hospital did accept?

So what if you now have a $10,000 deductible if you can even find a doctor or hospital that will accept your insurance?

You get free birth control now, whether you need it or not! That’s what is important!

I cannot tell you what a comfort it is to my 60 year old wife and I that we no longer have to pay for birth control that we don’t need.

Latest Gallup poll shows that 54% say they’ve been harmed by the ACA, while 26% say they were helped.

Yes, more than twice as many were harmed as helped.

But, that’s OK, because the two primary goals were achieved.

For the elites, the goal of “the right people being harmed” was accomplished.

For the sheeperal, the goal of feeling sanctimoniously self-righteous for _supporting_ “affordable healthcare for all” was accomplished.

I haven’t a heard a word about obamacare here in FL. The Dems are doing a coordinated Obamacare victory lap while the GOP ignores the issue.

There couldn’t be any more proof the GOP have no intention of repeal. Zero chance because the beltway GOP are happy to manage the socialized medicine money pots.

My cousin has worked in a fruit packing plant for years.
He makes about $12-$14 an hour.

About 5-6 years ago he was having chest pains, or heaviness in his chest.
He ended up needing stents put in.

His insurance picked up the majority of the cost, but he complained about the cost of rehab. I don't know how much insurance covered, but that would be an on going cost, and after his portion of the stent procedure, he decided he couldn't afford the rehab.

Fast forward to this year.
He needs to go in for a colonoscopy.

Now, because of the Obamacare mandates, his insurance has a $6000 a year deductible.

His entire portion after the stent procedure was nowhere near that.

One HUGE LIE!

4 years ago my company paid 11k for a family plan (employees paid nothing)... Blue Cross. No deductible, small copays for docs and meds, most hospital tests covered.

Today, my company pays 11.5k, the employees pay about 40% more (I pay approx. 5500 per year) copays for docs and meds are covered, but now I have a 4K deductible, 2K each for me and wife of which we have already reached our max. So the plan covers far less than it used to and costs me 5.5K more than it used to. And I’ve dished out another 4K on top of that. over 9K per year.

What’s affordable about that? This is a liberal propaganda piece lying to the public to prop up the Dem party. Obamacare is killing this country.
