Vindicated!
Look. Too damned late to save this country anyways. Screw it. Get what you can; see if there are any alternative countries; if you cannot get out, hunker down.
You are correct. Jeb Bush will be on the ticket, and he will build a highspeed rail line exclusively for illegals.
They will invade our country in comfort and luxury.
We tried to tell them. From here out, it’s obvious they support Amnesty. They can deny it all they want. Every person voting for anyone associated with/voting for A gop candidate that backs this, backs amnesty. Period.
Plenty of Freepers fight a border fence.
Romney is intentionally trying to depress the size of the conservative vote so they can come back later and blame conservatives for not voting. He did that same thing in Florida 2012 and people even here continue to blame conservatives for not coming out to vote.
There is no need for an immigration reform bill. Building the fence is already on the books, and every other burning immigration need is already there. All we need to do is enforce existing law.
But vote for the gop anyway. Ya just gotta or puppies will die!
Its also true, Democrats and the press don’t want to admit it But Harry Reid is the single biggest problem with congress doing anything. Harry Reid permits almost no votes
BULL
“We seem to have come so far in this debate that anything labelled immigration records is assumed to be a bad thing and is assumed to include amnesty.”
That’s because it almost always does. And “border security” bills have ALL been head fakes by the ruling class to get amnesty.
If you want to be Charlie Brown holding the football, be my guest.
“I think most of the posters here want to secure the borders, but when Romney says he wants to pass a law to actually secure the borders, they are against it because theyve said that before and havent done it. Well by that logic then ANY time its brought up you have to be against it because its been mentioned before. You cant debate that kind of thinking.”
I don’t think it has that much to do with Romney, except to the extent he is just another member of the GOP-E. Replace it with McCain, Graham and you will get the same reaction. At one time or another, they have all said they want to secure the border. None of them actually meant to do it. At this point, the only reality-based position is: secure the border now. Then come back in 20 years after you have proven you will actually carry through on it and we’ll discuss comprehensive immigration reform.
It’s the structure of the proposed deals that are the problem. Amnesty is now. Border security is the next 100 years. Dems and GOP-E will always be willing to trade empty promises about security for Amnesty. There’s no way to enforce it and the flood of illegals will go on and on—and we have another amnesty to encourage it.
Shhhhhh. Don't let the FR "I'm Conservative But..." brigade hear you say that.
Some of us voted for him mainly to stick it to those loud, shrill obnoxious Mormon haters.
I wouldn't have even gone that far had Rick Santorum still been in the race when Pennsylvania's primary rolled around.
Romney fans on FR have a lot to answer for.
Very funny.
Romney has been pushing amnesty since mid 2012. He always supported flooding the tech market with cheap workers as well.
Santorum is better on legal immigration levels. If Santorum were to run his whole 2016 campaign on halving legal immigration he would win. The field is terrible on the issue.
