On Tuesday, we will have an important election that determines which party controls the House and Senate. Yet most Americans have very little understanding of the issues they will soon decide at the polls. A recent Annenberg Public Policy Center poll finds that only 38% of Americans know that the Republican Party currently controls the House of Representatives, and a similar number know that the Democrats control the Senate.

Voter ignorance is the progressives’ main tactic.
There is an old saying. “Half the politicians wish the voters would pay more attention and the other half are afraid they will.” There are too many people voting who have no clue of which candidate aligns most closely with their beliefs. I’ve seen couples in line at the precincts trying to determine who they were voting for.
Or call it for what it is “the stupid voter”.
I voted to put the GOP in control of senate committees.
I voted in memory of the Benghazi 4.
I voted in memory of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
I voted in support of Sgt. Tahmooressi
I voted in support of American troops sent to fight an invisible enemy in a West African hell hole.
I voted in memory of thousands killed at the hands of illegal aliens.
“honey boo boo or the brain trust”.....
These two DO NOT belong in the same sentence. There is no comparison.
People don’t care.
If I vote or don’t vote, nothing will change.
That’s a fact of life. I’m bored with politics and can relate to the sentiment.
The gimme voters know to vote Democrat.
People pay more attention, generally speaking, to the next movie they want to watch to the people they elect to lead them.
Maybe we should make campaign ads more like movie trailers...
Some guy on CSpan this morning called low information voters “short bus window lickers”
ROFLMAO
Our public education system is really turning out the geniuses ain’t it?
I heard yesterday that a whopping 40% of Kalifornians are aware that Moonbeam Brown is running for reelection.
I don’t do social media, but the Mrs does and she will tell me things that her side of the family posts and talks about. It makes it real hard for me at the once a year gathering I go to just for her. I hate stupid people.
The morons Jesse Watters interviews are a prime example of what the libs have done to our public education system.
Yet most Americans have very little understanding of the issues they will soon decide at the polls.
It would be nice if our votes decided the issues. They do not. Once elected the vast majority of politicians do what is best for themselves politically, their party, their contributors, the State, the Country, the voters. In that order........
One poster’s opinion, that is all.
Really, people are generally ignorant about everything. It’s just a shame that many of them happen to vote.
The stupidity of probably 85% of the population is just breathtaking! Particularly among people that you would expect to be “smart”. I can’t tell you how many doctors, people with advanced degrees, ect; that are just dumb as a f#*king fence post!
We seem to have a pretty good collection of intelligent people here on FR. That’s one of the reasons I come here. I often learn things. I by no means claim to be highly intelligent, but I know for certain that I’m FAR more informed than the VAST majority of other people out there. Everyone should be informed. A well informed citizenry is every politician’s worst nightmare.
Yes, it’s not coincidence they appeal to the dumb and the dumbest
Another reason not to vote.
Politicians insult our intelligence.
