Except that they didn't. No bullhorns, no shouting tirades, no blocking the driveway, no storming into the building.

Other than that, though, yeah, it was exactly the same.

They were shouting at parishioners going in and out and were handing out “fundamentalist” Christian literature, said Chieko Noguchi.

When someone left anti-Catholic literature on Karl Keating's windshield, he was prompted to found Catholic Answers.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

In Oklahoma City the RCC conducted an assault in the media and in the civil courts when the claims of 'theft' were found unsupportable by local law enforcement.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/09/22/Only-42-Attend-Black-Mass-in-Oklahoma-City-With-Hundreds-of-Christian-Protestors-Outside

Breitbart reported that 400 protestors showed up and that the Catholic folks had set up loudspeakers (which trump a bullhorn).

Don't get me wrong, I disagree with those people, too. But this is the USA and they have just as much right to their worship as we do. And where it is wrong to disrupt a church service it is also wrong to disrupt anyone else's lawful act of worship.

“Given that Catholics did the same thing to the people who held a black mass in Oklahoma then it’s only fair that Catholics should receive the same as they give.”

Protesting against satan = proteststing against God?

smh

Agreed. I would assume anyone bursting into my Church is most likely a terrorist trying to commit a bombing or mass shooting I will act accordingly.

Protesting at one person’s worship service is equal to someone else protesting at yours.

This is the USA and we have Equal Protection Under the Law.

That includes equal protection for people we don’t like.

So you think statues of satan with little kids around it:

Don't get me wrong,

Oh, I don't think that's a problem.

Nope. That's not what I think. I think we need to amend the Constitution to clarify that this country is a country founded in the Judeo-Christian tradition and that expressions of that tradition in the public square are specifically consistent with our freedoms and liberties.

Until that time we're stuck with however the courts decide to interpret the 1st and 14th Amendments.

I hadn't read about bullhorns; I thought the only arrest was for Joan Andrews Bell praying silently, on her knees, and outside the building --- but I may have missed other arrests --- assuming the sound amplification was unlawful.

As for the stolen Eucharist, the Satanists themselves claimed they had obtained one for ritual desecration, and when they actually returned it under threat of legal action, the threatened lawsuit was dropped. See this coverage (link)

As for the stolen Eucharist...

Once again, law enforcement had no evidence to support a claim of theft. The so-called satanists handed over a wafer after being threatened with a civil lawsuit mostly because a $.25 wafer is easily replaced...as it was.

When this first came up I checked and found several sources online where these wafers could be legally obtained. Claiming that one was 'consecrated' is fine and dandy. It doesn't mean it's true. Satan being the Prince of Lies it would follow that his adherents would not be above lying to provoke a reaction from Catholics.

Really, the best thing that could have been done about the black mass was to ignore it in the media and silently pray for the misguided. Instead the whole proceeding ended up making the RCC look silly and repressive.

And now the protests at the black mass have come home and Catholics are unable to argue that they have a right to be left alone at their worship when Catholics protest at someone else's worship. And I think these two events are linked and that this was the intention of the alleged black mass all along; to facilitate an attack on your church.
