A scientific national poll of those who voted in Tuesday's congressional elections found that only 20% support "President Obama changing immigration policy on his own."
THE POLL QUESTION:
President Obama recently said that he plans to go around Congress and take executive action on immigration policy. Which do you support more: (ROTATED) President Obama changing immigration policy on his own, or President Obama working with Congress to change immigration policy?
74% PRESIDENT OBAMA WORKING WITH CONGRESS TO CHANGE IMMIGRATION POLICY
20% PRESIDENT OBAMA CHANGING IMMIGRATION POLICY ON HIS OWN
5% DO NOT KNOW/CANNOT JUDGE (VOL.)
1% REFUSED (VOL.)
Majorities of virtually all types of voters answered that they preferred the President work with Congress rather than taking immigration action on his own:
75% -- men
74% -- women
79% -- whites
59% -- blacks
54% -- Hispanics
51% -- Democrats
80% -- Independents
92% -- Republicans

I had a friend who is black explain it to me this way. For all these years we've never had a seat at the table. Now, with Hispanics being the second largest minority, we're at the back of the bus again.
I think blacks are beginning to understand they've been used for the past 70 years.

My experience is with great resentment towards Latinos by blacks. They are perceived as taking away their share of the pie. I have witnessed entire apartment complexes emptying out of blacks when Latinos start to move in. There is no love lost here folks. The democrats will have a hard time juggling these two groups, which happens when you play racial politics.
0bama will look back at those 20% and think that they’re with him on amnesty and do it. Forget the rest of the country.
We used to have a black area of town. Had been that way for the last 60 years I can remember. Went through there not too long ago and all the markets, stores, etc. are now Mexican. Mexican women with their children pushing a baby stroller walking down the street. They have moved the blacks out and replaced them.
What a political opportunity.
I’m sure the numbers in Colorado are much the same.
Had we run a Republican candidate who was strong on illegals we wouldn’t be saying Democrat Governor Hickenlooper anymore.
We would be say Republican Governor-elect Tancredo.

If the existing laws were enforced, there would be no need for immigration law reform.
