Jonathan Gruber and Obamacare undone by the ‘stupid’ people
Washington Times ^ | November 17, 2014 | Tammy Bruce

New media make it difficult for elitists to deceive

"..........“Weinstein’s scoop went around the world in a hurry. American Commitment, a conservative 501(c)(4) founded by Americans for Prosperity veteran Phil Kerpen, published the clip on its YouTube channel. Kerpen promoted it through tweets, which quickly became live coverage of the media outlets discovering Gruber.”

This is why the political establishment hates the Internet — it allows regular people, individuals, to change the world. This in itself presents a danger to tyrannical regimes everywhere, and to American administrations that rely on keeping you in the dark.

It must have been rather surprising to Mr. Gruber and all his “Masters of the Universe” friends to be undone by a few “stupid” people. But then again, when you’re distracted by the beauty of your own navel, you may tend to underestimate the people you’re lying to.

The American people aren’t stupid, but the mainstream media work very hard at keeping us ignorant. They’re failing at that, too......"

And this morning from Eric Erickson discusses the "Parrots, Whores, and Clowns of Barack Obama's Press Corps" over at Red State.

"....And now consider just how useful Barack Obama finds them. Last week, the President struck up a global warming deal with China on carbon emissions. The United States will reduce its emissions, but China will do absolutely nothing. The President, in his speech, called the deal “historic.” That is important. The President said it.

Got that? The President used the word “historic” to describe the deal. Listen to his parrots, whores, and clowns.

[audio clip]

From the President saying it to “some are calling it” to it just being historic. The press just ran with it.

So is it any wonder the press is largely ignoring Jonathan Gruber or, as is happening more frequently, just running with Barack Obama’s talking points.

Jonathan Gruber was a routine visitor to the White House and sat in on the meetings to formulate Obamacare. Democrats across the nation and in Washington cited him, relied on him, and used him.

Now they’re all distancing themselves. He’s just a guy who got a grant. President Obama called him a nobody.

And the press that picked up “historic” will pick that up too.

It’s what they do."

"It's what they do."

Here is an important, easy to follow partial history of Gruber, the Administration, the Democrats and Left's compliant, eager media in the Obamacare deception:

The CBO Effectively Used Gruber’s Model to Score Obamacare

I didn’t vote for Obama - in either of the 2 elections!

I’m not stupid - could care less about his bi-racial skin color and more about his Socialist background! I planted a sign that said so in my front yard in 2008!

...didn’t agree with this ACA either - have seen personally what it has done to jobs...I’m glad that guy who lost his insurance took it upon himself to go out and do REAL investigative journalism...something the MSM stopped doing decades ago...

As Newsbusters Executive Editor Tim Graham put it: “The national media … have largely reacted to the Gruber story like it is a virus that should be carefully quarantined.”

As big as Gruber story itself is, I think the cover-up is even bigger.

The NUMBER ONE ISSUE of the 2016 campaign should be: the 100% collusion between the rats and the drive-bys, without the slightest pretense of any independence on the part of the drive-bys.

Gruber screwed up.

Much of the American public is not as stupid as Gruber thinks they are and some of the American Public is a lot smarter and just as well educated as Gruber is.

What much of America is though, is ignorant of the games being played behind closed doors and the cynical manipulation and lies the Democrats fed them. I think it still fair for Americans to expect their elected officials to tell them the truth as a condition for holding public office and politicians lying to the American people is a breach of their duty to the American people.

What good old arrogant and smarmy little Gruber did was educate the ignorant part of the American public that is either too busy or too preoccupied with their daily lives as to how corrupt the Democrats and much of the political class has become.

Perhaps even more importantly, he educated the American people on how much disrespect, hostility and outright contempt the political class has for the people who elect them to office.

In one week , Gruber has done more to educate America than he has in all his years teaching at MIT.

Now that we have been suitably educated, it's time for us stupid voters to return the favor and give a little eduction of our own to our dishonest, corrupt and incompetent scum bag political class

....Gruber and his “Progressive Masters of the Universe” were undone by a few “stupid” people on the net. But when Progressives are distracted by the beauty of their own navels, they may be slow to pickup that the people they're lying to are onto them.......

BTW, speaking of Gruber's navel......it's not well-known but the Grubers play sex games to spice up the bedroom. Cooing in Gruber's ear about "stupid Americans" is a total turn-on....turns Jonathan into an erotic stud, delivering wild and uninhibited sex play.

Of course, Gruber insists the missus be a "total woman." So one night Mrs G tottered into the Gruber bedroom on stiletto heels wearing a blue-state blue lace teddy w/ coordinated beads.....carrying a vial of botox in one hand and a box of Rice-a-Roni in the other hand.

"Guess who I am," she said brightly.

"Gee, I don't know," Jonathan said lamely, beat from crunching numbers all day.

"I'm Nancy Pelosi, " she replied.

Jonathan ripped off his clothes...ready for a wild night of hot Rice-a-Roni.

Nice timing----on Fox News Sunday, Juan William covered for Obama's Grubering....said Washington passes laws using similar Proctor and Gamble packaging techniques to sell underarm deodorant.

Except that laws are made by a constitutional govt that collects and distributes revenue---not by some clever ad guru getting paid to extract 2 bucks from consumers to eliminate underarm odor.

...”In one week , Gruber has done more to educate America than he has in all his years teaching at MIT.”...

I so agree! The only stupidity that REAL Americans have shown throughout all of these frauds and scandals is that we are naive in thinking that our government is there to protect ALL of us and is not there to steal our money and our freedoms to give to their cronies. That sort of thing comes from organized crime and it is hard not to think that is what we are under and included in the crony group is NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYTimes and others who now should be classified as state run media. Without their conspiracy with the Democrats and the Obama Administration, none of these things would be taking place. If you haven’t yet, please go to FOXNEWS and listen to Judge Jeanine’s opening statement on her program over the weekend. She states the situation clearly and completely. Any American who is not watching and listening to FOXNEWS (though they are not perfect), and trying to get the best and most accurate news by coming here to FreeRepublic, is capitulating to the destruction of our nation. In addition, I hope everyone on FreeRepublic will pay attention to the needs of less fortunate people in their communities, especially during the Holiday Season. There are many ways to help through food pantries, etc. Children especially need attention. We may have stupidly elected the wrong people to our most important federal offices, but most Americans are great because they are good. God, please bless us and give us strength during these very trying times. To the folks of FreeRepublic, I would say..”Carry on the best you can, Freepers..You are much more valuable in the cause of freedom than you know.”

In the private sector, any company that lies to sell its product or service will be besieged by state, local, and federal agencies, many of them, and will be prosecuted for fraud.

What Gruber reveals is that there was a conspiracy to defraud the American people. RICO anyone? This is a big F’in deal because the people hate it, and want it to go away.

George Will and others have pointed out that Gruber made it clear in the videos that the language restricting the subsidies to state exchanges was deliberate. The Supremes will send this abomination back to Congress in June, and perhaps it can be completely ditched or altered to reduce the pain it now inflicts on the people.

What a great truth. And if it continues maybe he'll actually have "earned" the $5.9 Million he took in.
