'Jack the Ripper was a meat cart driver in Whitechapel, who legitimately blood-spattered appearance helped him evade justice, a criminologist has claimed.
Dr Gareth Norris from Aberystwyth University believes 'carman' Charles Allen Lechmere, whose early route to work coincided with locations of Ripper killings, should be considered a suspect.
Lechmere was found leaning over victim Mary Ann 'Polly' Nichols' body on Buck's Row in Whitechapel on August 31, 1888 and told police he had only been there a few minutes.
But research has revealed that he lied to police about his name, calling himself Cross, and it was likely that he was with her body for about nine minutes.
He also passed Hanbury Street, Dorset Street and Mitre Square at roughly the same times as the Ripper killings - while another happened in Berners Street, where his mother lived.
It is a theory that joins many others in relation to the string of murders during a three-month period in 1888 when six women were killed on the streets of London's Whitechapel.'

Well, let’s arrest him.
Yeah! There's no statute of limitations for murder. LOL
And, give him the death penalty.
Didn’t we just have a DNA analysis a couple of weeks ago that established a Polish national as Jack the Ripper?
I believe inspector Abilard always considered some dude name Kosminsky (or something like that) as the Ripper but never had enough evidence to try him. It’s one of those things that are fun to speculate about but we’ll never know - like “What would have happened if General Ewell had tried to take Cemetary Hill on the first day of Gettysburg?”
Are you sure? I bet there is in some countries.
Guess even they realize that was wrong now.
No, there have been many in the field who believed that a skilled butcher would have had the skills necessary to carry out the ripper murders and I believe there was a least one butcher (not this guy) who was and is a strong suspect among those who really get into this. (I believe they call them "ripperologists"....for real.)
I thought it was settle several months ago and this was on the Daily Mail as well. They should read their own stories or maybe they still want to use Jack to sell more papers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2746321/Jack-Ripper-unmasked-How-amateur-sleuth-used-DNA-breakthrough-identify-Britains-notorious-criminal-126-years-string-terrible-murders.html
That ended up being false.
Are you kidding? In today’s UK, they’d probably give him an OBE.
15 years in South Korea
here is the wiki for a movie where the killer admits his deed in a book published after 15 years

Join us next week for..... the Loch Ness monster, IT’S REAL! LOL
So Jack the Ripper is still at large?! Momma, lock up your street tarts!
How many does this suspect make?
Did this rebuttal establilsh that the DNA excluded Kosminsky as the ripper or just establised that DNA failed to prove that he was the Ripper, thus leaving him as merely a suspect?
Supposedly.
In a hastily called press conference, “Super-model” Janice Dickinson confirms that she, too, was a victim of Jack the Ripper. “I was walking along the side of the street one night in Whitechapel, very early in my career. I found myself getting drowsy, and laid down in an alleyway. I woke up with a large gash in my stomach, and various organs were outside my body. Fortunately, I was able to tuck them back into my body and tape the gash together. I have no doubt I was the Ripper’s victim.”
This article does not have much to go on. There is a time line when the killings ceased; so a comparison to this guy’s whereabouts would be important.
