The article is still misleading. It says, “Brown swore at the officer, and the two men walked away. So Wilson called for backup, threw his police-issued Chevy Tahoe into reverse and cut the young men off.” They neglected to mention that Wilson didn’t start backing up until he saw the cigars in Brown’s possession, and then he put 2 & 2 together from the radio call informing of the burglary nearby. That’s when he called for backup and put his car into reverse. The article makes it sound like he backed up for no good reason, that the two were already walking away. I hate journalists that only give part of the story. They will keep this mess going by their intentional omissions.

...
Golly, I wonder why they would leave that out.

For a full week in March, 2012 NBC Nightly News and Today, along with its local Miami affiliate ran audio tape of George Zimmermans 911 call the night he fatally shot Trayvon Martin.
NBC viewers learned that Zimmerman had said to the 911 dispatcher, This guy looks like hes up to no good. He looks black.
That was pretty damning evidence of racial profiling. It was also an entirely false representation of the 911 conversation. Someone at NBC had edited the tape to make Zimmerman appear racist. The unedited sequence of the call went like this:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good. Or hes on drugs or something. Its raining and hes just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
The Dispatcher’s question to Zimmerman was cut off.
This report at the L.A time that you observe is no different.
They want to give readers an impression that it was Office Wilson who started the scuffle.
The irresponsible media is partly responsible for the riots.
They need more stores to burn to have something to report.
