I thought Ted Cruz was a wacko bird?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
That was years ago.
Obama would choke on this idea, it’s a nice little barb.

No. He should be a top adviser to Secretary of State.

Wrong. John McCain, I think you’re going insane.. John, for the sake of everyone, including your sanity, please shut up, serve the rest of your term and go out to pasture, sweetly remembering how life was like when you had a brain. Thank you...
PS: Please take your brain dead daughter with you....

Who does he think he is—Gandalf the Gray? Eff him and the daughter he rode in on.

“John McCain:”
As soon as I see that, I experience total brain freeze. I don’t care what he says. He needs to get a clue and retire from public life. Go be a dithering spacey old man. Be done with yer bad self.
War hero, sure. Valuable public “Republican” figure, no. Go away dude. Good GOD I am looking forward to the possibility of retiring. Why don’t these people feel the same way?
Reminds me of that creature Ginsberg. Is dementia a requirement for the Supreme Court and our Blessed Govt Servants?

I’d be happy with Lieberman as Sec of Defense, he’s pretty good on defense.
But he’d never take the job under the current anti-American regime.
(And it would never be offered to him by same, either...)

I actually believe that Joe Lieberman man would make a fairly good Secretary of Defense; probably better than anyone else whom Barack Obama is likely to consider.
As a senator, Lieberman was often described as a "centrist" (or a "moderate"). But that is a bit misleading. In fact, it is almost akin to Mark Twain's observation that a man with one foot in a bucket of ice water, and the other foot in a bucket of boiling water, "is, on average, comfortable": Mere averages can sometimes misrepresent the truth.
In matters of domestic policy, Lieberman was a fairly typical liberal. But in matters of international policy, he was a staunch conservative. And as Secretary of Defense, he would be involved solely with the latter.

War mongering neocons are NOT "staunch conservatives". It's not 1967 or 1951. The statists are the ones who want perpetual war and empire. And that's exactly what Lieberman is. He's an awful human being.
