I’m very open to the idea that Obama has done far more long term structural damage to his party and to demographics voting for it, than good for it.

Oh really? And just how is that going to happen? Does this mean that there is going to be a sudden surge in newly-minted, properly naturalized citizens of the United States who will go to the polls in a fully lawful manner to exercise their sovereign franchise?

Everyone knows what this means. It means that there will be a huge numbers of amnestied Hispanics that will, with full knowledge and complete cognizance, go to the polls and vote illegally for the Democrats.

If the Democrats don’t get help from the GOP on amnesty and Obamacare they will continue to have sole ownership of these toxic policies. It may be that the Democrats will have to throw (at least partially) Obamacare under the bus and promise to modify or not renew Obama’s executive action on amnesty.
